Callaway Golf Becomes Official Partner of the European Tour - Next Stop, Total Consciousness!

In recent years Callaway Golf has dominated the equipment market as the #1 driver in golf and the number 1 irons in golf.  And now with the announcement that Callaway is an Official Partner of the European Tour, it's making it known to all comers - they're locked and loaded with their sights set on being the #1 brand in golf for a long, long time. 

 

The wide-reaching partnership is for the next five years, and you're going to see Callaway absolutely everywhere.  They will be the official driver, official golf ball, and official shoe and golf bag of the European Tour.  Odyssey and OGIO become the official putter and luggage brands respectively.  And Callaway Apparel and Travis Mathew become the official on-course apparel. 

In addition to Official Partner status, Callaway will supply its market-leading Chrome Soft Golf Balls to driving ranges at European Tour events.  And will also drive awareness of Odyssey, the number one putter in golf, through a "putting leaderboard" on television broadcasts to showcase a new range of performance statistics at each European Tour event. 

 

As part of the Official Partnership, Callaway will collaborate with the European Tour's digital channels to create new content strands featuring the Callaway brands, products, and their Staff professionals like Sergio Garcia, Henrik Stenson, and Thomas Pieters.  The Official Partnership begins at this week's Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA (the first of eight Rolex Series event on the 2019 Race to Dubai).

In history, literature, and in life, it's usually the super-villains who aspire to global domination.  But there are no villains here, and it might be more appropriate to call this Callaway and European Tour partnership a (golf) world optimization.  The European Tour is a fun Tour.  I dare say (and even hate to say) more fun that the PGA Tour.  And Callaway is where it's at in this industry because they have the some of the most innovative and creative engineers and content creators on the Titanium Coast. 

 

This is a partnership that's going to be extraordinarily rewarding for anyone who loves golf, and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us all over the next half-decade.
