Aerotech Golf Shafts Continue Rolling with Strong Performances at the Hoag Classic

One week after winning the Cologuard Classic, Aerotech Golf SteelFiber shafts captured two top-10 finishes at the Hoag Classic on the Champions Tour.

Woody Austin roared into contention in the second round when he hit 89-percent of the greens in regulation.  The 1995 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year fell just short of winning on the second playoff hole, and finished 10-under and runner-up for the tournament. Austin plays SteelFiber i110 shafts in his irons, and i125 shafts in his wedges.

Former World No. 1 and Masters champion Fred Couples shot 6-under for the tournament, and finished T-10  using SteelFiber i110 graphite shafts in his irons and hybrid.

Aerotech Golf President, Chris Hilleary said,
"SteelFiber shafts continue to be one of the biggest success stories on the pro tours today, and we're very excited with the Top 10 finishes we see week after week.  SteelFiber shafts provide performance benefits for players of all ages and skill levels, but they can be especially beneficial to senior players who may have suffered injuries over the years.   SteelFiber shafts reduce vibration, reduce player fatigue, and increase clubhead speed while at the same time delivering superior stability and consistency shot after shot."

SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through revolutionary composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface.  The shaft's graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.
