Miura Golf K-Grind 2.0 Milled Wedge Preview - Timeless Craftsmanship Merges with Modern Milling

Miura Golf is giving one of its most iconic clubs a modern upgrade.  Following in the footsteps of the original 1957 K-Grind wedge, the new K-Grind 2.0 features the signature knuckled sole of the 1957 model, but adds cutting-edge milling techniques for an unrivaled combination of functionality and feel.

Given the proven staying-power of the K-Grind, the Miura family craftsmen sought to maintain the integrity of the original design by preserving the fluted sole that enables the clubface to remain square at impact.

The three knuckles deliver increased playability through every type of turf.  While the K-Grind 2.0 sole grind uses increased bounce and roll along with heel and toe relief to stabilize your swing no matter the skill level.

This is intriguing to me because the original K-Grind 2.0 was already a very versatile wedge and its ability to cut through deep rough, bad lies, and any kind of sand was undeniable.  Yes the knuckles are cool looking, but more importantly there was a legitimate performance benefit to them

More heel and toe relief and increased bounce should make the new K-Grind 2.0 cut through turf even easier, as well as give you even more wiggle room to make mistakes when you don't quite catch your shot perfectly.  And we can all use that.

Meanwhile, the flutes kept the previous K-Grind wedge from wanting to turn over too much, and you didn't have to open the face (like you do with traditional looking wedges) to experience high, soft-landing shots.  I'd expect this to be much of the same with the new 2.0 model.

Another significant evolution in the K-grind 2.0 is the clubface.  The face and grooves have been fully milled to provide increased spin on intermediate and full shots.

With the previous gen K-Grind wedge, spin was already fantastic, and probably greater than any Miura wedge available.  If the new 2.0 face improves spin even more, your short game might transform into something ranging from fearless to magician.

Miura Golf President, Hoyt McGarity said,
"The K-Grind 2.0 is the next generation of the trusted and distinctive product line that performs dependably through every turf.  With this club, we have produced a superior wedge that is just as versatile as it is visually striking."
The K-Grind 2.0 is hand-forged in Himeji, Japan, using Miura's time-honored 14-step manufacturing process, and is available in five lofts from 52 degrees to 60 degrees at www.miuragolf.com and at Miura Golf authorized dealers around the globe.  You can also design a custom K-Grind 2.0 with your choice of 19 branded shaft options and 14 diverse grips.
