Johnny Manziel to appear on Golf Digest December cover

As part of their "Golfers Who Give Back" issue, Golf Digest has decided to go with Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel as the 2014 December cover boy. 

 

Manziel describes himself a "7 or 8" handicap, and poses in orange and brown striped socks on the cover, looking like he came straight out of a "Johnny Jam Boogie" commercial.

Manziel is an avid golfer, who once shot a 79 at Pebble Beach, and talks about his admiration for Tiger Woods, wanting to play Augusta National, and getting started in the game. 

"I was only four or five years old, and I remember hitting plastic golf balls over the fence with those little starter clubs." Manziel said.  "I hit that thing everywhere I could, from the flowers, the bushes, even out of the pool." 

 

Johnny sure does love his pool parties.
