Callaway Launches New Elyte Mini, Elyte Triple Diamond MAX, and Eyte Triple Diamond Tour Draw Drivers

Callaway Golf has extended their acclaimed line of Elyte drivers today to now also include an Elyte Mini, an Elyte Triple Diamond MAX, and an Elyte Triple Diamond Tour Draw so that every player as an Elyte and ideal driver for their unique swing and needs.

Looking back over the last few years Callaway Golf has won six major championships and common to all these championships is a Triple Diamond driver and its validation as the driver choice of the best players on the PGA and LPGA Tours.

Callaway Golf spends more on R&D than any other golf company in the world and the mission of these new Elyte models is all about innovation.

Elyte Triple Diamond Max

The new Elyte Triple Diamond MAX driver is built on the same classic, traditional shape as the standard Triple Diamond but in a slightly larger 460 cc profile.

As good as the Triple Diamond is Callaway wanted to make Triple Diamond even more forgiving for players who need that.

Sometimes creating a driver that's more forgiving comes with tradeoffs, but Callaway has been able to maintain the shape, profile, and DNA of the Triple Diamond.  And missing by a couple of feet instead of a couple of yards can make a significant difference whether you're out there trying to become one of the great moments in golf or just an aspirational or recreational player like most of us.

Triple Diamond MAX wound up being Callaway's most played driver on Tour last year and the key this year was figuring out how to make the Elyte TD MAX even better.

Elyte TB MAX is going to offer players more forgiveness and a touch more spin.

Elyte Triple Diamond Tour Draw

The new Elyte Triple Diamond Tour Draw driver is about shot shape.

It's not a draw model and not a slice correction model, but a driver that gives you a neutral shot shape that turns over just a little left (as opposed to the slightly right bias of the standard TD).

Callaway found that some slower swing speed users couldn't turn over the standard Triple Diamond.  And the new Elyte Triple Diamond Tour Draw driver makes that possible now for these players.

Elyte Triple Diamond Tour Draw drivers give you a shape that starts down the right-center, turns over, and then even gets a little more roll as well.

Technology Common to All

The Elyte Triple Diamond MAX and Elyte Triple Diamond Tour Draw both have the same collection of Elyte franchise technologies including the TFC Crown, 360 Carbon Chassis and Ai10x face.

Elyte Mini

The mini-driver category has taken off in the last year-and-a-half or so gaining traction with increased use on tours and with amateurs.  And the new Elyte Mini is about top of the bag versatility.

People often think a mini-driver is basically a low-lofted fairway wood.  But that's the furthest thing from the truth.  Yes, you theoretically can hit a wood straighter than a driver because it's a shorter club length.  But a fairway wood is not a higher MOI club than your driver and the mini-driver addresses this point.

With the Elyte Mini you get that higher MOI of a bigger shape with the shorter shaft length. And this gives you the alternative off the tee to increase the likelihood of keeping drives in the fairway.  Another advantage to the mini-driver over a fairway wood is its ability to hold greens on long approaches better with steeper angles than you get with a wood.

In Callaway's internal testing it's been more consistent than driver and though not quite as long as driver still longer than the fairway wood.  In a nutshell it’s easier to hit than a fairway wood and more accurate than a driver.

A big upgrade to the Elyte Mini this year was upgrading adjustability.  Elyte Mini uses a similar discreet weight port system (that was introduced on the standard Elyte driver) with neutral, fade, and draw settings for about 12 yards of shot shape adjustability.

Elyte Mini will retail for $$449.  Elyte Triple Diamond Max and Triple Diamond Tour Draw will retail for $649.
