Comfort and control is equally essential with your golf grips. And your hands working together are what synchronize the various moving parts of your golf swing. So that's why Wave 5 of my PGAPappas Golf Stimulus Package will include two full sets of new grips from Golf Pride.
I've reviewed both the Tour Wrap MicroSuede and MCC grips last fall, but as a refresher will touch on some key review points again to help you decide which grips you want. And then further below you'll see how you can enter to win your very own set.
Golf Pride Tour Wrap MicroSuede Grips
Tour Wrap MicroSuede grips have an incredibly satisfying and unique feel. Soft and smooth, almost like suede side out leather grips you'd find on old hickory clubs.
MicroSuede have exceptional traction, and by comparison offer a softer more plush tackiness than the Tour Wrap 2G. In fact, I'd say they give you even more grip and friction than the regular Tour Wrap. It's almost a locked in sensation, which is strange and cool because your hands are less prone to move, yet the soft feel also decreases grip pressure.
In hot, humid, and rainy conditions MicroSuede have been flawlessly reliable. And having put these on two sets of irons since last fall, I'm happy to also report they're one of the most durable soft grips you'll find anywhere.
MicroSuede are still plenty tacky, have remained newer looking and feeling than even the Tour Velvet over a same period of time, and I honestly haven’t given any thought of replacing them (going back to late August). That's good stuff.
Golf Pride just nailed it with Tour Wrap MicroSuede.
Golf Pride Limited Edition Spring MCC Align Grips
The Golf Pride MCC Align grips probably put as much technology into a grip that can possibly go into them, and along with the Z-Grip Align are two of the best all-weather grips I've played.
MCC is the most used grip among NCAA and Junior golfers and it's easy to see why. Cotton cord in the upper portion of the MMC Align grips give you exceptional feedback, while the rubber lower gives an incredibly soft feel to quiet your trailing hand. Traction and moisture-wicking is as good as it gets, and makes slippage a non-issue.
Compared to Z-Grip cord, MCC Align is similarly firm feeling, but slightly softer. This should help reduce tension and remove strain from your hands if you have a propensity to vice-grip your clubs. Overall, MCC Align almost feel like they mold to your hands.
Then of course there's the Align technology. I have Tour Velvet Align, Z-Grip Align, and of course MCC Align grips and am convinced Align delivers massive benefits of long-term consistency in proper hand positions. You can clearly feel the dedicated raised ridge along the backside, and this little reminder can go a long way, especially for players with minor grip flaws.
And circling back to the limited edition aspect of the Spring MCC Align, you can expect more of this in the future. Golf Pride is planning additional Limited Edition grips to commemorate golf's biggest events and seasons of the year. And we're not just talking MCC, the limited editions could be for any grips in the Golf Pride family. Stay tuned for these!
So with all that said, here's how you can enter to win your very own set of Tour Wrap MicroSuede or Limited Edition Spring MCC Align grips. And as always, we'll run this on twitter and Instagram, and it's open to everyone world wide.

Thanks again for the stimulus fun. Although I am partial to the MCC since I have had them on my clubs for years, I may have to try the new MicroSuede based on your review.
ReplyDeleteI have them both on different sets. Each have their own strong points, but I could play with either exclusively and be perfectly happy. And my pleasure as always to share what I know and review new products. 👍
