Club Champion Iron Fitting Review (Cincinnati, OH) - PGAPappas Winner Guest Review

The winner of my Club Champion "Summer Starts Pin High" Iron Fitting and Custom Built Set of Irons Giveaway was so impressed with his iron fitting that he added on a wedge fitting on his own dime immediately after the iron fitting was over.  And he's also returning to Club Champion for a top of the bag fitting to dial in his driver and woods.

That's what you call validation.

Padraig Harrington Extends Wilson Golf Legacy with History Making U.S. Open Win

Padraig Harrington became only the fourth golfer to defend his US Senior Open title on Sunday, winning by four shots at Scioto Country Club in Ohio. He also joined Miller Barber as the only three-time winner in the event’s 46-year history.

The Irishman, who returns to Royal Birkdale next week for the Open Championship, the site of his 2008 victory, is the first player to win back-to-back US Senior Opens since Allen Doyle in 2006.

Harrington started the final day one shot behind but fired a four-under 66 to successfully defend his title. He was the only player in the field to register sub-70 rounds all four days.

Three for All: Harrington Makes History With Trio of Senior Open Titles

There is a reason why someone the caliber of Padraig Harrington had the golf chops to get himself inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Under the biggest pressure in the most prestigious competitions, the experienced and affable Irishman just knows how to close.

Buoyed by Third-Round 66, Cink Takes One-Shot Lead at Scioto C.C.

The 46th U.S. Senior Open at Scioto Country Club went back to the future on Saturday sans a souped-up DeLorean with a flux capacitor.

With an ode to the popular 1985 movie, the dial only was turned back to 2025. Basically, the same protagonists are part of this script. Just replace Mark Hensby with George McNeill.

By George! McNeill 36-Hole Leader at Scioto C.C.

America is celebrating its 250th birthday on Saturday, but the way things transpired at sultry Scioto Country Club on Friday, the fireworks came a little early.

On another oppressive day in central Ohio – and there have been many this week – when it would have been quite acceptable for the field in the 46th U.S. Senior Open Championship to wilt in the 90-degree heat, the leaderboard was lit up with golf’s version of pyrotechnics.

Cink, Wi Share First-Round Lead at Sultry Scioto C.C.

Oppressive heat. An extremely challenging golf course. And a national championship. It’s enough to make anyone lose their mind.

Like it’s been all week at Scioto Country Club, a historic Donald Ross design hosting its third U.S. Senior Open Championship (46th edition), the weather for Thursday’s opening round – namely temperatures in the mid-90s with triple-digit Heat Indexes – continued to be the dominating story.
