CRU Golf Presidents Cup Headcover Review: The Father of all Headcovers

We all want things that are unique.  Things that are classic, extremely well made, maybe even hard to find.  Things that never go out of style, and are better than ordinary.  And I mean really, really better than ordinary.

And the folks at CRU Golf absolutely nailed it with their Limited Edition Presidents Cup headcover.  Made exclusively for the 2015 United States team, the headcover is a rousing tribute to the most enduring and recognizable symbols of American liberty.  The Stars and Stripes.  And the Declaration of Independence.

It's the father of all headcovers.  It's tirelessly handsome.  And positively wicked.  But it's only available until the end of the year.  And then it's gone forever.

When I saw this headcover for the first time during the Presidents Cup, it might as well have just come right out and hit me over the head.  It was amazingly gorgeous.  And I wasn't the only one smitten by its brilliance.

CRU didn't initially plan on releasing the headcover to the public.  It was meant for Spieth, Fowler, Watson, and the rest of Team USA.  But the outpouring of interest was so outrageous, CRU really had no choice.  For the first time, a CRU limited edition headcover would be available to all.  And I dear friends, had to have it.

Supple leather, lustrous colors, flawless craftsmanship, it looks like the kind of headcover you'd inherit from a post-revolutionary estate.

If it could speak, it'd probably say, "go ahead, take my picture."  And that's only scratching the surface of how truly awesome it is.  I'm seriously humming Yankee Doodle Dandy writing about it now.

Red, white, and blue colors with velvety suede inside?  Boom.  Embroidered American flag?  Boom-Boom-Kaboom.  Inscribed text of the Declaration of Independence?  This isn't a headcover for pleasure deniers.  It's a headcover for people who want the moon.

Available in driver, fairway wood, and hybrid styles, it also comes with a flattering protective tote bag.  I could go on and on about this masterpiece.  But instead I'll just post a bunch of pictures.

You be the judge.
