Aerotech SteelFiber Golf Shafts Win LPGA 2019 Volunteers of America Classic

Aerotech SteelFiber composite iron shafts topped the Texas leaderboard this weekend at the Volunteers of America Classic as Cheyenne Knight won for the first time on the LPGA Tour.

Knight played SteelFiber i70 shafts in her irons and i80 shafts in her wedges, and hit 12 of 18 greens in the final round en route to 5-under 66, and 18-under overall score for the tournament.

The 22-year-old native Texan rookie delivered perhaps the best performance of her career in her home state, playing bogey-free golf in the final round and recording 19 birdies and one eagle for the week on the Old American Golf Club course.

Aerotech Golf President Chris Hilleary said,
"We congratulate the champion on her first LPGA win.  SteelFiber's innovative composite technology, which is unique in golf, delivers stability and increases distance, while at the same time reducing a player’s risk of injury, lessening aggravation of existing injuries and decreasing player fatigue.  This unique combination of benefits allows players to finish strong and has made SteelFiber the No. 1 composite iron shaft in golf."

SteelFiber shafts provide superior performance through revolutionary composite engineering that combines a high-modulus graphite core with 59 miles of steel fiber lacing the shaft surface.  The shaft's graphite core provides vibration dampening, increased clubhead speed and maximum distance, while the steel fibers produce optimum weighting for a solid feel at impact and add stability and control for pinpoint accuracy.
