Aerotech Golf SteelFiber Private Reserve Shafts Review - PGAPappas Giveaway Winner

You guys already know about Aerotech Golf SteelFiber shafts.  They have more PGA Tour wins than any graphite iron shaft in history,  They're used by many players, including World No. 1 Nelly Korda.  And I've been telling you how stable, long, and great feeling these are for awhile now.

Well now you're also going to hear the opinion of Donny, who won a set of Aerotech SteelFiber Private Reserve shafts in one of my recent giveaways.  Private Reserve are designed with even tighter tolerances than the standard SteelFiber, and are the kind of shafts that legitimately can improve your game immediately.

Before we get into Donny's review, I want to mention we're going to be doing more of these giveaways/winner reviews in the future.

I love doing giveaways of products I believe in and have reviewed, and having giveaway winners also share their opinions really adds another layer of fun to it all.  So be on the lookout for more of these giveaway/review opportunities moving forward.

I also want to mention quickly, SteelFiber Private Reserve don't play stiffer than normal.  I've seen some people say that online, and I believe that's a misconception.  SteelFiber do feel stiffer than pure graphite because they’re composite, but flex is what you’d expect.

And for anyone looking to put these shafts into their current irons or even get new irons built with SteelFiber, they're incredibly easy on your elbows, all joints really.  With SteelFiber you're getting a stronger, more stable, and better feeling shaft than steel, but with a vibration reducing aspect and almost certain (and significant) increase in distance.

So with that all said, here's what Donny had to say after putting the SteelFiber Private Reserve in a set of his irons:

"OMG I love these shafts.  I got them installed in my Tour Edge C721 irons and I took them to a bay at the PGASS locally and I was slayed by the feel and response of these shafts right away.

My average 7-iron carry was 167 yards with a total yardage average of 178.  The 5-iron was 194 carry and 203 total yards.  This is like 10 yards better than ever.

Okay, I am 64 and suffer a bit of elbow pain when using steel shafts.  I have played 2 rounds with the Aerotech SteelFiber Private Reserve i110's so far and I have no pain.

The way these shafts feel, the ball just jumps... ELEVATES.  I could get the ball high and allow it to sit soft.  I was also able to flight shots and drop them lower.  Distance wise where I would normally hit a 6-iron, I could now hit a 7-iron (or possibly even an 8-iron).

The ball flight was just amazing.  I was able to play a round in minimal wind, and on another day where there was A LOT of wind.  And the adjustment to flighting my ball was very easy with these SteelFibers.

That is an amazing feeling.  Being able to load the shaft and ask for a bit more without having the shaft flex too much and flip it left was crazy good.

These are literally the best shafts I have played in a long, long time."

And there you have it.  Aerotech SteelFiber Private Reserve shafts really deliver everything you want and expect from steel shafts, but with better feel, added (and controllable) distance, and even more stability.

For many players these shafts will be some of the best iron shafts you've ever played.  And for both low and high handicap players, that's going to also mean unleashing some of the best iron play of your lives.
