One of golf’s most enigmatic stars in Bryson DeChambeau thwarted Northern Irish supernova Rory McIlroy on the back nine at Pinehurst No. 2 on Sunday to capture the California native’s second career U.S. Open championship and 13th win of his pro golf career.
Now, DeChambeau has two Majors under his belt (the 2020 and 2024 U.S. Open) and years of golf to go (health permitting), which begs the question of whether the 30-year-old California native's upset across North Carolina sports betting at Pinehurst was the first step in a potential run of wins in the sport’s biggest tournaments.
