Hollywood Ending for World No. 1 Korda at Riviera

World No. 1 Nelly Korda captured the 81st U.S. Women's Open Presented by Ally by a single stroke on Sunday at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., closing with a 2-under-par 69 for a 72-hole total of 8-under 276.

A year after tying for second at Erin Hills, the 27-year-old from Bradenton, Fla., captured her first USGA title. Korda took the outright lead for the first time with a 9-foot birdie on the par-5 17th, then holed a 3-foot par putt on the 72nd hole to edge Charley Hull and Gaby Lopez. The victory was the 19th of Korda's LPGA career and gave her the first two majors of 2026, lifting her to four major titles overall.

World No. 1 Nelly Korda and 2020 KPMG Women’s PGA champion Sei Young Kim share the lead at 6-under-par 207 heading into the final round of the 81st U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally at The Riviera Country Club.

 

Korda and Kim hold a one-stroke advantage over 2015 U.S. Women’s Open champion In Gee Chun and 2022 Chevron Championship winner Jennifer Kupcho, setting up a final-day leaderboard featuring four major champions at the top.

New Mom Alison Lee, Yin Top Crowded 36-Hole Leaderboard at Riviera

A tightly packed leaderboard emerged through 36 holes of the 81st U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally, with Alison Lee and Ruoning Yin sharing the lead at 4-under-par 138 at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

 

Lee, competing on a deferred maternity leave exemption after the birth of her son, Levi, 13 months ago, followed an opening-round 70 with a 3-under 68. Yin, the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA champion, posted a second consecutive 69.

Kupcho Fires 66 for First-Round Lead at Riviera

Jennifer Kupcho carded a 5-under-par 66 on Thursday to take the first-round lead at the 81st U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally at The Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

 

Kupcho, a four-time LPGA Tour winner and 2022 Chevron Championship winner, opened with three consecutive birdies and added a near-ace on the par-3 16th to finish one stroke ahead of 2020 KPMG Women’s PGA champion Sei Young Kim.

USGA Announces Tee Times for 81st U.S. Women's Open Championship Presented by Ally

The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced tee times for the first two rounds of the 2026 U.S. Women's Open Championship Presented by Ally, Thursday (June 4) and Friday (June 5), at 6,699-yard, par 71 Riviera Country Club.

 

The U.S. Women's Open is a 72-hole, stroke-play competition. A field of 156 players will play 18 holes of stroke play on June 4 and 5, after which the field will be reduced to the low 60 scores and ties. Those player smaking the cut will play 18 holes on June 6 and 7. If there is a tie upon the completion of 72 holes, a two-hole aggregate playoff will immediately follow. If this playoff results in a tie, the tied players will immediately continue continue to play off hole-by-hole until the winner is determined.

USGA Launches Rules AI to Give Players Instant Answers to the Rules of Golf

The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced the launch of the pilot phase for Rules AI, its innovative, first-of-its-kind technology designed to make the Rules of Golf more accessible and understandable for golfers everywhere. 

The development of Rules AI was supported by the USGA’s long-standing professional services provider, Deloitte. Deloitte played a critical role in the process, helping the USGA to develop, navigate and build the backend behind the technology solution.
