Titleist Hybrid 5 Bag Review - PGAPappas 12 Days of Christmas Golf Giveaway

If you've never been excited about your golf bag, now is probably a great time to start.  Titleist's new Hybrid 5 bag is new for 2019, and as the name suggests, can be used as a stand bag, a carry bag, or a cart bag.  And no matter how you choose to use it, it's going to give you reliable and spectacular performance.

All the official details about the new Hybrid 5 will probably be announced around the time of the PGA Merchandise Show in January.  But since I'm giving this bag away for the final day of my PGAPappas 12 Days of Christmas Golf Giveaway, I'm sharing some insights about the Hybrid 5 that I believe will make it not only one of Titleist's most popular bags of the season, but also maybe of all-time.

Here's the basic scoop on the new Hybrid 5.  Titleist strap design has never been better.  Lightweight durability has never been more comfortable.  And you've never had walking and riding options that perform like this ever before.  The Hybrid 5 is a do it all bag that you're going to fall in love with.

Five full length dividers and seven spacious pockets make this a bag that's going to satisfy the needs and wants of most golfers.  The full length dividers will keep your clubs from tangling and banging around when you stand it up or strap in on for a ride.

Two of the seven pockets are dual-compartment with additional interior netting.  And one is a dedicated insulation pocket to keep your beverages ice cold no matter how long you're out on the course.  Seriously.  Can I get a Hell Yeah!

One of the bigger side pockets can hold a rain-shirt, rain-pants, and at least five dozen golf balls.  I know this because I stuffed them all into this bag, but then stopped when I realized no one ever brings five dozen golf balls to the course.  Still, if you're so inclined?  Go for it.

Strong legs, smart design, and quality material makes the Hybrid 5 extremely sturdy.  I'm not saying it's sumo wrestler immovable, but you'll have to give it a pretty good shove to knock it off balance.  The Hybrid 5 is damn sturdy.

What I might like most about the Hybrid 5 however is how it balances lightweight comfort with genuine durability.  Of course a Tour Staff bag is going to be a stronger bag.   And of course a Sunday pencil bag is going to be the lightest option around.  But if you want the best of both worlds?  To have your cake and eat it too?  There might not be anything better than the new Hybrid 5.

PROS:
Incredibly comfortable, stable, and durable
Spacious and intelligent pocket space
If you like to walk and ride during the season, this will be your best bag option from Titleist

CONS:
Some players might still prefer to carry a devoted stand or staff bag

  8. You say nobody brings 5 dozen balls with them to the course, but you've never seen me golf. Haha! Thanks for the giveaway, Pete. This would be an awesome win, as I'm in need for a lightweight back with all of the walking that I do. Fingers crossed. Happy, Happy Holidays!!

  15. Bag sounds great. Doesn't look that big to hold all that stuff that Pete mentioned, but I don't doubt it could, since design is so much better today than years ago.
    Merry Christmas to all.
