PUMA Golf and Rickie Fowler Team Up with Arnie's Army to Pay Homage to The King at The Arnold Palmer Invitational

To honor one of golf's greats, COBRA PUMA Golf athlete Rickie Fowler will once again don a limited-edition collection of gear at the upcoming Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard. 

 

Throughout the week, Fowler will wear accessories and use gear that was inspired by the life of his friend and mentor, Arnold Palmer, including a new API COBRA x Vessel Stand Bag, special headwear, and a pair of IGNITE PROADAPT PALMER shoes. 

To allow fans to celebrate the namesake of one of the golf's most beloved events, PUMA will sell a limited number of the same custom gear Fowler will be wearing and other distinctive items online and at select retailers.  Additionally, PUMA has partnered with the Arnold Palmer team to once again raise funds for the Arnold & Winnie Palmer Foundation, creating the Ultimate Golf Package that will be included in a sweepstakes and open to anyone who makes a donation to support the Foundation.

The IGNITE PROADAPT shoes were designed to provide stability, power, and comfort demanded by the world’s best athletes.  Featuring the same comfort and performance-driven construction Rickie Fowler has trusted since the model's debut, the IGNITE PROADAPT Palmer are designed to pay homage to Mr. Palmer's legendary golf career and love of aviation. 

 

The shoes colorway is inspired by Mr. Palmer's favorite plane to fly and come in a classy white colorway with blue accents and a silver form stripe that will have golfers looking fresh and dominating on course.  "N1AP" is displayed on the medial side, the tail number of Mr. Palmer’s plane.  Six "windows" on the lateral size represent the 6 windows on Arnie's favorite plane, the first production Cessna 750 Citation X.  While the sockliner features Mr. Palmer's unmistakable signature and the PUMA cat logo. 

IGNITE NXT Arnie Camo Shoes ($150) 
The IGNITE NXT Arnie Camo shoes are designed to honor the life and career of golf's most beloved figure, while offering the same great performance and comfort golfers have come to expect from the IGNITE NXT line. 

 

The outsole, heel and collar lining of the shoe features a unique, four-color camo design inspired by Arnie's Army in the same colors that make up the iconic Umbrella logo.  The sockliner features Mr. Palmer's unmistakable signature and the PUMA cat logo. 

API CAMO P110 Snapback Cap ($35) 
Available in five eye-catching colorways (White/ Arnie Camo, Light Blue/Arnie Camo, White/Pink Arnie Camo, and Black/Arnie Camo, Grey/Purple Arnie Camo). 

 

The purple is in honor of international women's day which takes place during the 2020 API.  And the caps feature the iconic umbrella logo layered on an embroidered P.

This Limited-Edition COBRA x VESSEL collab Tour Stand Bag comes in a white & green colorway, featuring a unique Arnie Camo pattern (mimicking the NXT Arnie shoes) inspired by the colors from his iconic Umbrella logo. 

 

Designed with all the necessary on-course features of a Tour Staff bag, including heavy-duty zippers, durable PU material and a single strap for easy carrying, but in a much lighter package, 60-percent lighter to be exact.

Beyond the 2020 API tournament gear, PUMA Golf will also be hosting a "trunk show" onsite during the week showcasing key pieces from its first, co-branded PUMA x Arnold Palmer collection of apparel, footwear and accessories designed to honor Mr. Palmer's legacy for years to come.  

Attendees at the tournament will be able to pre-order the gear ahead of the official launch in June 2020.  Announced last year during the 2019 API, the PUMA x Arnold Palmer collection was designed to be a modern take on the classic styles Mr. Palmer wore during his career, with added details that tell the story of  "A Life Well Played."
