The new Tour Edge EXS Pro hybrid is the kind of hybrid you can call on to hit any shot you want.
Fantastic versatility with nothing sacrificed in performance. It's a perfect face height to use off tee or from fairway. From the rough it rips through the grass, and the ball screams off the face. And I've even used it with pretty good success chipping off greens.
EXS Pro isn't as forgiving or high flying as EXS 220, but it's extremely stable, and one of it's strong points is the consistency of distance and trajectory you get. There is however some degree of forgiveness out towards the toe. Also you still get solid ball speed on shots hit below center face. EXS Pro is a hybrid that wants to go really long and very straight (maybe a slight fade bias).
A flat, medium trajectory that holds greens well, I'd call EXS Pro a penetrating and high enough flight. You can certainly launch it higher but that additional height is created more from ball position than head design. It feels a little heavier than game-improvement hybrids, but you’re getting accurate, precise dispersion.
Turf interaction is pretty much everything you want in a hybrid. EXS Pro slides effortlessly through the ball, with no feeling of drag at all. And even on some uneven lies you're still able to catch balls clean. The sound is a crisp, metallic click, but not loud or shrilly at all.
EXS Pro is a great club to hit on doglegs where position and accuracy are key, and feels like the control of an iron.
Standout above all for me was how stable EXS Pro is through impact and its boring flight. You can blast out of anything. It's definitely one of longer hybrids I’ve hit this year, and love how it works through the short grass and rough.
Overall EXS Pro is a great hybrid not only for advancing ball, but also for making it stick. And it's easier to hit than it looks.
