Five Original Penguin Ambassadors to Tee it Up at PGA Championship

Original Penguin®, a division of Perry Ellis International, Inc., proudly announces that five of its golf ambassadors will tee it up at the upcoming PGA Championship, taking place May 15–18 at Quail Hollow Country Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The players will showcase the brand’s newest Spring 2025 golf collection, which combines elevated style with the performance features today’s top athletes demand.

“We’re incredibly proud to have five elite athletes representing Original Penguin on one of golf’s biggest stages,” said Brad Holder, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Perry Ellis International. “Our Spring 2025 collection is all about modern performance and bold originality—values that our ambassadors embody both on and off the course.”

Representing Original Penguin on golf’s major stage will be Jake Knapp, Nico Echavarria, Johnny Keefer, Max McGreevy and Brian Campbell. Each athlete will sport signature looks from the latest collection, featuring the brand’s iconic Earl™ polo, Re-Originals™ sustainable fabrication, and cutting-edge moisture-wicking, 4-way stretch technology.

Over the past two years, this dynamic group has collectively earned six PGA TOUR-sanctioned victories, highlighting their elite status and consistency at the highest level of the game.

“This year’s PGA Championship is not just a showcase of world-class golf, but a statement of Original Penguin’s growing presence in the sport,” added Holder. “Our ambassadors will be outfitted in collections that reflect the energy, confidence, and modern spirit of the game today.”

For over 70 years, Original Penguin, and its namesake icon Pete the Penguin, has been adorned and adored by the masters of leisure and sport to define itself as an American classic.

Today, the Penguin icon still stands as a signal for those who know how to be an original and what you wear for the good times.
