The United States Golf Association (USGA) has officially opened Golf House Pinehurst, its seven-acre campus located footsteps from the Pinehurst Resort & Country Club main clubhouse. Bridgestone Golf staffer Chris Gotterup captured his first PGA Tour victory on Sunday at the Myrtle Beach Classic. Gotterup’s confidence in his 2024 Bridgestone TOUR B X golf ball led to a final round 67 and 22-under-par total that was marked by signature big drives and clutch putting.
After a distinguished college career during which he won the Haskins and Nicklaus awards as well as being named Big 12 Golfer of the Year, the New Jersey native decided to search for the best gear for his game and made a visit to Bridgestone’s Covington, GA, facility, where he worked at length with company ball fitters. After seeing first-hand the extreme distance and trajectory control he was getting from the TOUR B X, Gotterup signed as a Bridgestone staffer and began playing the ball as he entered the professional ranks.
