Chris Gotterup earned his first career PGA Tour victory in dominating fashion last week at the Myrtle Beach Classic and joins The PGAPappas Podcast to talk about how zoned in he was coming down the stretch.
Chris joins the pod from Valhalla Golf Club where he's playing in the PGA Championship this week and we talk about the very unique way Chris prepares for Tour events. why he's playing with more control and ease, and his greater awareness while he's out there competing.
Chris is is an absolutely genuine, straight talking, salt of the earth kind of person and opens up about pressure, expectations, confidence, and you'll get a sense very quickly Chris is very grounded and very poised. And to me he embodies that motto don't complicate the simple, simplify the complicated."
You can subscribe, follow, and listen to Episode 4 of The PGAPappas Podcast here on Apple Podcasts and also on Spotify.
We dive deeper into the improvements he's made in his short game, he explains what #TheTripleVodka is all about, and Chris let's me know if he likes the new nickname I've given him, "The Motto." A lot of fun with Chris and very revealing about who he is as both a player and a person.
