PXG Tour Professional Nicolas “Nico” Echavarria achieved his second PGA TOUR victory at the Zozo Championship. A significant milestone in his professional career, this victory not only solidified Echavarria’s status on the PGA TOUR but also showcased his impressive talent and skill under pressure.

The Peninsula Club Re-Opens Following Strategic Renovations

The Peninsula Club, the esteemed golf and country club located on the shores of Lake Norman just north of Charlotte, NC, is now fully operational following a comprehensive renovation project, led by the renowned full-service golf design and land planning firm Beau Welling Design (BWD).

The completed work as part of the Club’s “Next Generation Renovation Project” features significant renovations to both the 18-hole championship golf course as well as other facilities to create a new and refreshed experience for members and guests of the distinguished club. The routing and footprint of the championship course remain largely unchanged, but several aspects of the original design have been adjusted to deliver a strategic, memorable and playable test of golf.

Omni La Costa Resorts Announces NCAA Championships Extension

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa announces that following the rave reviews received from hosting the NCAA Division I Women’s and Men’s Golf Championships in May, the legendary Southern California destination has been awarded a two-year extension to its already existing contract with the NCAA.

The Gil Hanse-renovated North Course at Omni La Costa will now host the best collegiate players in their season-ending championship through 2028. With the addition of 2027 and 2028, the North Course will host the event for five consecutive years. This will be the longest consecutive streak of the tournament being played at one venue in the rich history of NCAA golf.

Phoenix Country Club to Host 50th Professional Event in Illustrious 125 Year Histkey

Phoenix Country Club will host the PGA TOUR Champions’ Charles Schwab Cup Championship Thursday – Sunday, November 7 – 10. The 2024 season-ending event will be the 50th professional golf tournament played at Phoenix Country Club in the historic venue’s 125-year history – more than any other golf facility in Arizona (TPC Scottsdale is number two with 36 events).

The Charles Schwab Cup Championship has been played at Phoenix Country Club since 2017 after relocating from Desert Mountain Country Club. In addition to the Schwab Cup, the venerable downtown Phoenix club hosted the Phoenix Open 42 times, including annually from 1932-1954 and 1972-1986, and every other year between 1956 and 1970. The PGA TOUR Champions announced last year that Phoenix Country Club will continue to host the Charles Schwab Cup Championship through 2032.

Canton Ohio to Host 2025 Team USA National Championship

Team USA Golf Events LLC is proud to announce the 4th Annual Team USA National Championship will be played on August 23rd  and 24th, 2025 in Canton, Ohio.  The championship event will be played on two of Ohio’s finest golf courses, Glenmoor Country Club and The Quarry Golf Club.


The Team USA vs Team Scotland Amateur Golf Championship enters its fourth season in 2025.  Amateur golfers play in local qualifiers across the United States throughout 2025. No USGA-GHIN Handicap is required to participate.  Golfers who win their flight at the qualifying tournaments win entry into the Team USA National Championships in Canton, Ohio. Amateur Golfers can also buy directly into the National Championships in Canton if there is no local qualifier in their area. Landscapes Unlimited Completes Irrigation Work at Baltusrol Golf Club and Prairie Dunes Country Club

Golf course developer and construction company Landscapes Unlimited has completed major irrigation work at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey and Prairie Dunes Country Clubin Hutchinson, Kansas.

At Baltusrol, Landscapes Unlimited installed a Paul Roche of Golf Water-designed state-of-the-art irrigation system and power communication wiring for a new Precision Air system on the Upper Course.  Gil Hanse is the project architect. 

TGL Presented By SoFi Announces Inaugural Season Schedule

TGL presented by SoFi, the new tech- infused, team golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports in partnership with the PGA TOUR, today announced its inaugural season schedule, premiering Tuesday, Jan. 7 on ESPN and ESPN+. The schedule includes 15 regular season matches, then a four-team Semifinals, before culminating with the top two teams competing to win the SoFi Cup in a best-of-three Finals Series on Monday, March 24, and Tuesday, March 25.

World Number One Scottie Scheffler Headlines 2024 Hero World Challenge Field

Following the commitment deadline, initial player commitments for the 2024 Hero World Challenge were announced today. Hosted by Tiger Woods, the 2024 edition of the tournament returns to Albany, Bahamas, December 5-8.

This year’s field features five of the top 10 players in the world (as of the eligibility date), including World No. 1-ranked Scottie Scheffler, the tournament’s defending champion who won Olympic Gold in Paris in August, and 2016 event champion Hideki Matsuyama. Nine members of the United States’ victorious 2024 Presidents Cup team and three members of the International team (Matsuyama, Sungjae Im and Tom Kim) will compete at Albany.

25 Years of Innovation: New Pro V1 and Pro V1x Launch on PGA TOUR

A quarter-century of breakthrough golf ball innovation continues this week in Las Vegas with the introduction of the new 2025 Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls on the PGA TOUR – marking the start to year No. 25 for the game’s most trusted and best-selling golf ball models.  


It was in October of 2000, at the PGA TOUR’s Invensys Classic in Las Vegas, that the original Pro V1 was first made available to play in competition. Forty-seven players – including the eventual champion, Billy Andrade – made the immediate move to Pro V1 that week.
