Improving on the best selling driver of 2017 is no small task, and I'll give you my full impressions next week at the PGA Show. In the meantime here are few key details about the new line, and some comparisons for perspective to last year's Epic.
Jailbreak Distance with Increased Forgiveness
New Jailbreak Shape and Weight
Jailbreak bars that connect the crown to the sole are now shaped like an hourglass and 25% lighter, which adds stiffness to the body and minimizes the amount of energy loss at impact.
New Optimized Face
Redesigned X-Face VFT Technology makes the face lighter, thinner, and faster, which promotes higher ball speeds and longer distance. Triaxial Carbon Crown and New Head Shape for Increased MOI
The large Triaxial Carbon composite crown surface area and new high-MOI shape with larger address footprint combine to increase stability and forgiveness. It's still a 460cc head, but shallower and deeper than the Epic.
Boeing Aero Package
Callaway worked with Boeing to improve Speed Step technology by redefining the geometry of the leading edge to improve airflow to promote faster head speed. ROGUE FAIRWAY WOODS
The First Fairway Wood with Jailbreak Distance Technology
Jailbreak Technology and Face Cup for the First Time in a Fairway Wood
Jailbreak Technology and Face Cup work together (for the first time) to promote fast ball speed across a large part of the face for consistently long distance.Easy to Launch on a Strong, Straight Flight
Ultra-low CG location and high MOI make Rogue fairways easy to hit and exceptionally accurate.
Triaxial Carbon Crown for Distance and Forgiveness
Weight saved by the light, strong Triaxial Carbon crown is repositioned in the head to promote high launch / low spin and increased MOI.
