Galvin Green Appoints New North America General Manager

Galvin Green, the leading high-performance golf apparel brand that has seen an impressive 54% growth in sales of its long-lasting garments in the North American market over the past year, has appointed Lou Delfino as its new General Manager in the region.

Lou, who joined the apparel brand with the largest depth of sustainable clothing for men and women golfers almost two years ago, has been promoted to the role from Sales Director and will manage the Galvin Green operation in the world’s largest golf market from his current base in Milton, GA.

“Lou has almost 25 years of golf industry experience and several awards to his name and so we’re thrilled that he’s agreed to step up into the GM role as we continue to maintain our ambitious growth plans across North America,” said Galvin Green CEO Nicholai Stein. “He will be well supported by Shannon Holden, who has gained a great reputation for her handling of customer service operations and working closely with our retail partners,” he added.

Before joining Galvin Green in March 2021, Lou worked for NIKE as a National Account Manager; Chase 54 Golf Apparel as Vice President of Sales; and athleisure golf apparel brand Devereux as Director of Sales. During his time with NIKE, he was recognized by Golf Digest as a Top 25 Salesperson after increasing sales in the South-eastern States more than fourfold.

“I’m very excited to become General Manager of Galvin Green in North American as I believe there’s so much great potential for the brand in this market,” said Lou. “While continuing to build a stellar reputation for its incomparable waterproof and windproof garments, we’ve also been able to drive sales of the versatile INTERFACE-1™, lightweight INSULA™ and super cool VENTIL8™ lines that deliver the perfect balance of comfort and performance whatever the weather dictates,” he added.

Galvin Green has pioneered fabric innovation and sustainability in the apparel sector over the last three decades and a large proportion of garments in the latest Part Two range are produced using environmental Bluesign® approved fabric or certified OEKO-TEX Standard 100 to cover thread and buttons as well as fabric. Using more recycled and sustainable materials designed to last longer takes the established ‘Green in Galvin Green’ theme to another level.

Since introducing its eco-generation INSULA™ sweaters in 2020, almost 3 million recycled plastic bottles have been processed to deliver the required fabric.
