Motocaddy Highlights Global Electric Cart Growth at PGA Show

Motocaddy, the world’s leading electric cart company, attracted the attention of new stockists and global media at last week’s PGA Show, providing them with an exclusive preview of the brand’s full range of pioneering and technologically advanced products on display for the first time.

Highlighting the global growth of electric carts, Motocaddy unveiled its latest range of hi-tech powered carts and featured-packed bags, including the award-winning M7 GPS REMOTE and M7 REMOTE models at a show floor booth that was double the size of last year and in a large 1,800 sq. ft. meeting room, conveniently located next to the Media Center.

“Reaction to the new range couldn’t have been better – both from a sales perspective and media comments – and it was great to meet a lot of potential stockists and golf writers who may not have seen all our products up close before,” said Motocaddy CEO, John Helas. “The show was a great success from a trade viewpoint, with lots of interest from everyone we spoke to. There’s huge potential to continue the rapid growth of our business in the United States and Canada. The PGA Show gives us a great chance to chat to lots of retailers and resorts, especially around the opportunities for adding revenue through our lucrative cart rental schemes,” he added.

It was a busy show for the Motocaddy team, which included members of its UK and EMEA Executive teams, along with the U.S. and Canadian sales force. The brand began the week hosting a golf day at Celebration Golf Club, followed by a breakfast briefing for global golf journalists and content creators to find out about new products in this year’s range with hands-on demonstrations provided by the Motocaddy staff.

On display were the brand-new M-Series models, sporting a sleek modern look and game-changing features synonymous with Motocaddy. Offering options to suit any golfer at a range of appealing price-points, leading models include the technologically advanced M5 GPS DHC boasting high-performance touchscreen GPS technology, and the world’s easiest-to-use electric cart, the M1 DHC. Developed by Motocaddy’s in-house product design team using Virtual Reality and rapid-prototyping, alongside A.I. technologies, the new automotive-inspired M-Series range features a cable-free battery seamlessly integrated into the stylish design. The lightweight Lithium battery also offers patented auto-disconnect technology, plus a revolutionary pop-up port for quick and easy charging – backed by a market-leading 5-year warranty for ultimate peace of mind. The game-changing features wowed visitors and provided the brand a chance to highlight the industry known tried-and-tested Motocaddy reliability and build quality.

Award-winning bags were also featured, including the new super-lightweight and 100% waterproof Dry-Series – the brand’s best-selling cart bag – and the versatile HydroFLEX hybrid carry bag which also fits seamlessly onto any Motocaddy cart.

International sales meetings with key distributors and stockists also took place during the week that ended in usual fashion with the brand hosting around 50 key industry figures, including influential editors and writers, distributors and sales staff at an annual dinner.

“As an editor, it was incredibly valuable to get insight into Motocaddy’s entire product line-up for 2024,” said Neil Tappin, Editor of Golf Monthly magazine. “Seeing what’s new and how it fits into the range will help our team shape our editorial coverage across our various platforms during the year ahead.

“It’s also useful to get an understanding for this area of the market as a whole and how things have moved on since we last met in Orlando the previous year. The Motocaddy dinner is always one of the highlight events of PGA Show week – not only because of the incredible hospitality! Speaking to other journalists, distributors and those involved with Motocaddy about the Show and the industry as a whole makes for an interesting and thought-provoking end to a busy few days,” he added.
