Odyssey Golf has been the Number 1 Putter on the PGA Tour for the last 14 years and the Number 1 Putter on the DP World Tour, LPGA Tour, and Champions Tour for the last 21 years. This year the Odyssey Reign is continuing its dominance as the Number 1 putter on the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, LPGA Tour, and Korn Ferry Tour. And remarkably more than half of all Odyssey putters in play are from the new Ai ONE putter family.
The recent winner of my Odyssey Ai ONE putter giveaway chose the Ai ONE Milled One Wide T CH model, and John (@Just_Hacking) on X/Twitter says he "truly loves this putter," and it's going to be in his bag "for a long, long, time."
In his own words here's what John thinks of the new Odyssey Ai ONE Milled One Wide T CH putter.
I was very fortunate to win an Odyssey putter of my choice in the PGAPappas 12 Day of Christmas giveaway palooza!! A lot of times I use a mid-mallet putter, but really like a blade style and a double wide putter so this One Wide was calling my name.
A little bit about the One Wide: The finish is a deep navy-blue PVD finish that has a gold milled titanium face insert. The Odyssey swirl logo is towards the heel of the putter and that gives it a really enhanced look to the putter. The gold really looks amazing on the navy-blue. It may be the best over all looking putter I have ever used. Of course that is a personal preference, but I think it is a stunning putter.
I went with the 34” length with a standard grip, but quickly installed a Super Stroke Mid-Slim 2.0. The One Wide has a single alignment aid and it sets up very nicely behind the ball. I went with the stock Stroke Lab 90 Counterbalanced shaft with a plumber’s neck. You can change the weight on the putter head, but it felt great out of the box so I haven’t tinkered with that at all. The One Wide has about a 45° toe hang (just a guess).
The One Wide has what I would consider to be a “hot” face. The first few putts I had really took off on me and was a good bit different than the putter face I had been using. This isn’t a bad thing at all. In fact, once I got use to the way it came off the face I was in love with the feel. It did take about 2 rounds to really dial it in, but every since then it has been smooth sailing. I would say that the milled face gives it a “firm” type of feel. The milled face gives the putter a real solid and consistent feel.
My distance control with this putter is about as good as it has been in quite some time. And the putter is pretty darn forgiving as well. Like most mid handicap golfers, I don’t always find the middle of the face, but even on the toe/heel strikes I get a nice roll that stays pretty true to the distance I was going for.
As for sound, it is kind of a middle of the road sound. Not muted, but certainly not a loud sound by any stretch. I have been a fan of Odyssey putters for a long time, but had gotten away from them with the last few putters I had in the bag.
Putting the One Wide back in the bag has gotten me wondering why used anything else. I truly love this putter!! Odyssey just makes great putters and I am pretty sure that the One Wide is going to be in my bag for a long, long time!!
Thank you, Pete!!!!
Sounds like you'll be sinking more putts and firing lower scores this year with your new Ai ONE Milled putter John. Thanks for a great review!
As always anytime any of you win something from me and want to write a review just let me know and we'll post it here. And cheers to better golf and having more fun for us all in 2025!
