The Hills Country Club Announces Comprehensive Greens Renovation

The Hills Country Club, a member of Invited Clubs’ national portfolio of member properties, is proud to announce an exciting enhancement to its most iconic offering: The Signature Course, designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, will undergo a comprehensive greens renovation this summer.

The course will temporarily close at the end of May, with a grand reopening slated for mid-September. This strategic investment reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to delivering an elevated golf experience worthy of its world-class legacy. The greens renovation will use Champions G12 Bermuda, a superior turfgrass trusted by top PGA Tour venues for its elite performance, consistency, and durability.

Rather than simply maintaining the status quo, The Hills team has chosen to upgrade to the finest greens surface available, ensuring that members and guests enjoy the game at its highest level. Leveraging best-in-class “double sprigging,” thereby accelerating the establishment of the turf, this will reduce downtime and get players back on the course faster than traditional methods allow.

“We’re committed to providing championship conditions year-round, and this renovation represents the next chapter in that promise,” said John Woodeshick, general manager of The Hills Country Club. “Our members deserve nothing less than exceptional, tour-quality playability.”

This project underscores The Hills’ continued reinvestment in excellence while honoring the Signature Course’s legendary design pedigree. The club will provide members with regular updates and behind-the-scenes progress during the renovation period, building anticipation for the return of what will soon be one of the most finely surfaced courses in the region.
