Short Game Chef Partners with Folds of Honor

Short Game Chef, the premier online golf short game instruction program, is proud to announce its partnership with Folds of Honor, the revered nonprofit providing educational scholarships to the spouses and children of U.S. military service members and first responders who have fallen or become disabled.

Short Game Chef was created by PGA Tour winner Parker McLachlin, regarded as one of the game’s top short game coaches. The acclaimed instructional program he designed has steadily built a dedicated community of golfers committed to improving their game, particularly the part of the game within 100 yards of the hole that presents the best opportunity to save strokes.

As part of their collaboration, anyone who uses the Folds of Honor link on shortgamechef.com to sign up as a new Short Game Chef member, will automatically be entered for a chance to win a limited supply, special edition Titleist Vokey wedge that is uniquely branded by both organizations. Existing Short Game Chef members will also have an opportunity to enter to win one of these extraordinary wedges. Short Game Chef will then donate $13 from those new membership fees to Folds of Honor, combining world-class golf equipment and instruction with support for the vital work Folds of Honor undertakes.

“This partnership with Folds of Honor is a perfect alignment of values—helping people improve golf games while also giving back to the families of our nation’s heroes,” said Short Game Chef founder Parker McLachlin. “By uniting with the Folds of Honor community, we can make a real difference by amplifying their mission to use the game of golf to assist families that need and deserve our help.”

Folds of Honor was founded in 2007 by Lt Col Dan Rooney, the only F-16 fighter pilot ever to also be a Class A Member of the PGA of America. Folds of Honor has awarded nearly 62,000 educational scholarships, valued at about $290 million, to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders. The organization’s far-reaching impact includes 38 chapters nationwide that connect with patriotic donors, corporate partners and golf enthusiasts across the country.

“I have been a longtime admirer of Parker and the instruction that he provides,” said Lt Col Dan Rooney, founder and CEO of Folds of Honor. “Golf is in the DNA of Folds of Honor. This collaboration with Short Game Chef combines the strengths of both of our communities and we are so grateful to them and to Titleist for providing these beautiful wedges.”

Rooney added, “It’s exactly this type of generosity from people like Parker and his Short Game Chef platform that helps to further cement our place in the game of golf. Initiatives like these perfectly complement other efforts like our ‘Patriot Golf Days,’ celebrated Memorial Day weekend, and our second-year PGA TOUR-wide initiative, ‘Folds of Honor Friday,’ which is held at select tournaments on the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions, and Korn Ferry Tour.”

The combined influence of Short Game Chef and Folds of Honor not only raises awareness of such a noble and worthy cause, but it also has a tangible impact on the lives of military and first responders’ families.
