Keswick Hall's Full Cry to Host 2023 U.S. Open Qualifier

Keswick Hall – the acclaimed 600-acre luxury resort set in Virginia’s scenic Wine Country – announces its celebrated Pete Dye-designed Full Cry golf course will serve as a 2023 U.S. Open qualifying venue on May 16.

Local qualifying for the 123rd U.S. Open Championship is conducted over 18 holes at 109 sites in 44 U.S. states and Canada. The championship will be contested at The Los Angeles Country Club on June 15 – 18. In 2022, Full Cry hosted the Virginia State Golf Association’s prestigious Mid-Amateur Championship.

USGA Announces WAGR Exemption Modifications for Amateur Championships

The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced two modifications to the World Amateur Golf Ranking®/WAGR® exemption criteria for amateur championships, effective immediately.

The changes are an effort to better help players plan their schedules and notify exempt players of their place in the field in a more timely manner.

Cobra Golf KING Forged Tec Irons Now Available in Limited Black Finish

First Place Finish at TPC Sawgrass for Fujikura Ventus

Fujikura, the leader in performance golf shafts, was honored to be the #1 driver, wood and hybrid shaft on the PGA Tour in Florida, including the PGA Tour winner who claimed his Players Championship victory with all VENTUS driver and wood shafts in the bag.

At the Players Championship in Florida, Fujikura once again dominated the standings with the #1 spot in the driver, wood and hybrid shaft counts during the event. Lydia Ko Relishing First Taste of Aramco Team Series

World number one and two-time major winner Lydia Ko is excited for her first taste of the Aramco Team Series this week, with the opening tournament of the series set to take place at Laguna National Golf Resort Club in Singapore.

Having started the season in scintillating form, including winning the history-making Aramco Saudi Ladies International at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in February, the 25-year-old’s quartet will be made up of German star Aline Krauter, Swede Lisa Pettersson and amateur Andres Acosta Luque.

USGA and R&A Announce Proposal to Introduce Model Local Rule Option for Golf Balls Used In Elite Competitions

The USGA and The R&A have proposed a Model Local Rule (MLR) that gives competition organizers the option to require use of golf balls that are tested under modified launch conditions to address the impacts of hitting distance in golf.

The MLR is intended for use only in elite competitions and, if adopted, will have no impact on recreational golf.
