New Titleist T-Series T100, T150, T200, T350 Irons and U505 and T200 Utility Irons (2023) - First Look Titleist Fitting Review

I recently went through a Titleist fitting for the new T-Series irons and utilities.  I hit every iron, the T100, T150, T200, and T350 as well as the U505 and T200 utilities.  And I can sum up the entire fitting by telling you this T-Series is Titleist's GOAT.  No exaggeration.

Something was legitimately improved in every model.  In some ways even significantly improved.  And more than any line in Titleist history all four iron models blend about as perfectly as possible for combo variations.  I'll let you know what my ultimate set wound up being at the end.

Dunlap Makes History With Victory at Cherry Hills

Nick Dunlap joined exclusive company on Sunday at historic Cherry Hills Country Club, as he replicated a feat only accomplished by Tiger Woods. Dunlap, the 2021 U.S. Junior Amateur champion, pulled away from Neal Shipley on the second 18 of the 123rd U.S. Amateur Championship final for a 4-and-3 victory to become just the second player to win both the Junior Amateur and the Amateur. Woods captured each championship three times in a span of six consecutive years (1991-1996).

“Well, I think it’s only a third of what Tiger’s actually done,” said Dunlap, 19, a sophomore at the University of Alabama who is No. 9 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking® (WAGR®). “But just to be in the same conversation as Tiger is a dream come true and something that I’ve worked my entire life for. It’s the hours and hours that nobody sees to try to get to this point and even have a chance to win this trophy. It’s unbelievable; can’t put it into words.”

Dunlap, Shipley to Square Off in Final at Cherry Hills

Since the spring of 2021, Nick Dunlap, 19, of Huntsville, Ala., has amassed a 29-2 record in match-play competition. That includes a 6-0 mark on the way to the 2021 U.S. Junior Amateur title, and five victories this week at Cherry Hills Country Club. On Sunday, Dunlap will seek his 30th and biggest victory in the 36-hole final of the 123rd U.S. Amateur Championship.

Dunlap, the No. 9 player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking® (WAGR®), defeated Parker Bell, 19, of Tallahassee, Fla., 3 and 2, on Saturday to earn a berth opposite Neal Shipley, 22, of Pittsburgh, Pa., who earned a come-from-behind, 2-and-1 win over John Marshall Butler, 21, of Louisville, Ky. Shipley’s dramatic victory was sealed by a third shot on the par-5, island-green 17th hole that stopped inches from the hole for a birdie.

Semifinalists Set After 18th-Hole Drama at Cherry Hills

The par-4 18th hole at Cherry Hills Country Club has seen its share of heroics and heartaches through 10 USGA championships, and the lore only grew on Friday in the 123rd U.S. Amateur quarterfinals. Two matches came to the 487-yard, uphill 18th and the hole was tied with bogeys (Nick Dunlap and Jackson Koivun) and with double bogeys (Parker Bell and Ben James), setting up further drama on another historic hole here, the par-4 first, where Arnold Palmer triggered his historic comeback in the 1960 U.S. Open by driving the green.

Dunlap, 19, of Huntsville, Ala., the No. 9 player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking® (WAGR®), rebounded from his three-putt bogey on No. 18 to birdie No. 1 and defeat Koivun, 18, of Chapel Hill, N.C. Dunlap, who won the 2021 U.S. Junior Amateur title, was 2 down through seven holes and rallied to take the lead, but twice followed up hole wins with bogeys, on Nos. 14 and 16, to give Koivun hope.

Cherry Hills Completes Clubhouse Renovation Punctuating Centennial Celebration

Cherry Hills, one of America’s most iconic golf clubs, has announced the completion of a major multi-year renovation project to its historic clubhouse. The new clubhouse and its modern amenities will serve its new membership and generations to follow.

“I can honestly say this new clubhouse turned out magnificently in terms of design, function, flow, ambience, and dedication to preserving and advancing the club’s history. One of the reasons we hired the celebrated architect we did – Mark Finlay – is because he was very well grounded in historic architecture, particularly Tudor architecture,” said Cherry Hills President Kim Koehn. “Mark was very focused on recreating the look that the original 1923 clubhouse had, and I think he hit it spot on. It’s been incredibly rewarding to walk through the clubhouse since it’s opened and see people using the spaces, and being excited about being in them in the exact way the design and completed construction was intended to be used.”

World No. 9 Dunlap Ousts No. 1 Sargent in Round of 64

Nick Dunlap, the 2021 U.S. Junior Amateur champion, continued his hot summer on Wednesday, playing 5-under-par golf to outlast world No. 1 Gordon Sargent, 2 and 1, in the Round of 64 of the 123rd U.S. Amateur Championship at historic Cherry Hills Country Club.

“I think this was a match that a lot of people wanted to see,” said Dunlap, who captured the Northeast Amateur and the North & South Amateur earlier this summer and is No. 9 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking®(WAGR®). “Obviously he's the No. 1 player in the world for a reason. Wasn’t expecting any gifts from him. Just kind of throwing punches all day long and see who could withstand them at the end.”
