Aerotech SteelFiber Private Reserve Shafts Review - 2023 PGAPappas 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway Winner Guest Review

You already know how much I love my Aerotech SteeFiber Private Reserve shafts.  It seems like whenever I'm fit for irons these are one of let's say three different shafts that always seem to work best for me.

And this guest review of the SteelFiber Private Reserve by Curt sounds like he's also found iron shafts that work best for his game as well.  Curt won a full set of SteelFiber Private Reserve in my PGAPappas 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway and says he's "finding the center of the face more often," and his overall iron game has gone from "pretty inconsistent" to "showing tons of promise."

Omni La Costa Resort and Spa Announces Gil Hanse Renovated North Course Opening Date

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa announces that following a comprehensive renovation of its Champions Course by Hanse Golf Course Design, the esteemed layout will revert to its original name, the “North Course,” and will open for resort guest and member play beginning June 1.

Originally designed by Dick Wilson and quickly becoming one of golf’s treasured destinations after debuting in 1965, Omni La Costa’s North Course previously served as a home to notable PGA Tour events. For thirty years, the resort hosted the Mercedes Championships (originally called the Tournament of Champions) from 1969 – 1998. In 1999, Omni La Costa hosted the inaugural WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship as well as six additional occasions. In 2010 and 2012, the resort hosted the Kia Classic, a popular LPGA Tour event.

LIV Golf Announces New Hires

LIV Golf today announced that David Phillipps has been named Chief Financial Officer; Ross Hallett has been named EVP, Head of Events; Katie O’Reilly has been named EVP, Head of Team Business Operations; Tim Taylor has been appointed to a new EVP role and will also lead LIV Golf’s London office; and Pam Sacree has been named Head of Human Resources.

All of these new executive positions will be based in either LIV Golf’s New York or London offices and will start working over the coming weeks.

The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort to Host 2031 PGA Championship

The PGA of America announced today that The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, will host the 2031 PGA Championship. Additionally, the 2029 Girls and Boys Junior PGA Championships will be contested at The Ocean Course and Turtle Point Golf Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort.

The 113th PGA Championship, scheduled for May 2031, marks the third time the strongest field in golf will compete for the Wanamaker Trophy along South Carolina’s coast.

Victory for Fujikura Ventus in Augusta

Fujikura, the leader in performance golf shafts, was honored to be the #1 driver and wood shaft in Augusta last week. The eventual Major winner trusted in VENTUS Black on his way to another green jacket victory.
