COBRA Golf, a leader in golf club innovation, today introduced the DS-ADAPT LS Long Drive clubhead. Developed in collaboration with three-time World Long Drive Champion and Cobra staff member Kyle Berkshire, the new Long Drive head is aimed at aggressive players who swing with maximum speed and distance in mind.
Featuring six degrees of loft, the Long Drive version of the DS-ADAPT LS clubhead is the most aerodynamic head shape in the Cobra driver family, promoting the fastest possible swing speeds. The Long Drive model features the same 445cc club volume as the standard LS, but with a deeper face and more compact shape. Subtle shaping differences include a 2mm deeper face height and 3mm shorter profile from front to back.
The deeper face increases flexion around the center and pushes the CG more forward to create more ball speed. The larger face area also gives long drive competitors like Kyle Berkshire the confidence to be able to swing at their maximum speed with more control.
“Golfers really gravitate towards the LS (Low Spin) driver in the DS-ADAPT family for its speed and trajectory control capabilities,” said Jose Miraflor, VP of Product Architecture and Consumer Connections, COBRA Golf. “But for faster golfers, the DS-ADAPT LS Long Drive clubhead truly fits the build. This 6.0-degree limited-edition option is designed with Kyle Berkshire’s competition performance needs in mind.”
The LS Long Drive head also features COBRA’s new game-changing FUTUREFIT33 ADJUSTABLE HOSEL SYSTEM, which is the most significant and innovative metalwood fitting technology to date. The system allows for 33 unique loft and lie settings that can be adjusted independently for the first time in a COBRA driver, unlocking an unprecedented number of fitting options.
The new DS-ADAPT LS Long Drive head ($649) comes as a clubhead only with headcover, wrench and two extra FutureFit33 hosel adaptors to allow for custom shaft selection. For more information visit http://www.cobragolf.com
