Miura Golf is pleased to congratulate Mel Reid on her victory at last weekend’s Shop Rite Classic in Galloway, New Jersey.
In her comments after the event, Reid graciously acknowledged the Miura irons that helped lead her to victory.
Despite relentless pressure from the field, Reid was able to rely on her Miura irons to close with a 67 on the Bay Course at Seaview and finished at 19-under-par 265, good enough for a two-stroke win.
Reid hit 13 of 18 greens in the final round leading to 8 birdies for the day. Her victory at the Shoprite Classic earned Reid an entry into the U.S. Women’s Open in December. 13 of 18 with seven birdies.
Reid has carried Miura TC-201 irons in her bag for two seasons now and raved about both their softness off the face and legendary forgiveness.
Miura CEO Hoyt McGarity said: “We were thrilled to watch Mel Reid play Miura TC-201 irons to win her first LPGA Tour title. Miura congratulates Mel Reid and wishes her continued success.”
Reid will play her Miura irons next at The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
