Duca del Cosma Delago Golf Boots Review - Playing Your Best When Temperatures are Down

I have a confession to make.  I wear golf boots.  I like golf boots.  And hands down, the new Duca del Cosma Delago boots are the best golf boots I've ever worn.  You're not merely surviving cold weather golf with Delago, you're conquering it.

Seemingly modeled on the Duca Eldorado golf shoes (and you probably already know how much I love my Eldorados), Delago feature the same soft Italian Nappa leather, high-grip spikeless outsoles, and memory foam insoles with additional cork support in the heel.  And that means Delago are a top-notch combination of comfort and stability.

The whole point of golf boots though is to stay warm during those rounds when it's so cold you can barely feel your feet.  And we've all played in these conditions.  Regular golf shoes can leave your feet miserably numb, almost a frozen feeling that sooner or later makes us want to end our rounds as fast as possible.

And this is part of what makes the Duca del Cosma Delago so special.  Delago are waterproof and lined with a luxuriously soft, warm, and breathable fur that keep your feet toasty warm in the chilliest and wettest of conditions.  In fact, Delago keep my feet so comfortable and fresh in cold conditions I'm certain this also warms up the rest of my body somehow as well.  Just glorious.

I touched on how Delago give you the same great walking comfort and swing stability as the Duca Eldorado shoes, and I think this is one of the highest compliments you can give any pair of golf boots.  Do they feel and perform like golf shoes?  And the answer with Delago is a resounding yes.  The more I wore Delago, the more I realized these are essentially like a winterized Eldorado.

Memory foam insoles in the Delago are soft enough to absorb shock but not overly cushioned so you still have ground awareness.  Traction is top-notch with outsole nodules that deliver the same outstanding grip as Eldorado.  And the Nappa leather is supple and substantial to give you extremely comfortable all-around stability.

Delago obviously rise higher past your ankle than traditional golf shoes.  And while this sensation might take a little getting used to, you still have free and functional ankle mobility needed for good posture and power in your downswing.  More material generally means these are going to be somewhat heavier than many golf shoes.  But wearing Delago hasn't come anywhere close to the point where my feet felt tired during or after rounds.

The Delago blend classic style and modern flair for strikingly good looks, and the quality, material, and workmanship is flat-out exceptional.  Gorgeous looks to match exceptional warmth, comfort, and performance in a pair of golf boots?  Yeah, Duca del Cosma just did that.
