Mitsubishi TENSEI 1K Pro White Shaft Review - PGAPappas Giveaway Winner Guest Review

Hitting better shots and playing better golf will always mean we're having more fun out there on the course.  And that's what's happening for Daniel, the winner of a new Mitsubishi TENSEI 1K Pro White shaft in my 12 Days of Christmas Jingle Bam Giveaway.

Daniel put the TENSEI 1K in his driver and and saw an increase in carry and tighter dispersion.  And Daniel sums it up best saying, "this shaft matches everything it's billed to be and more."

In his own words, here's what Daniel (@drhaga83 on twitter) thinks about his new Mitsubishi TENSEI 1K Pro White shaft.

First of all, it is a true honor to be picked to win one of Pete's Jingle Bam Extravaganza giveaways. The excitement was unreal and definitely turned a day at work into a great day!

When you win you know you’re getting the very best of the products he has tested, reviewed and believes in. The same rings true for the Mitsubishi Chemical TENSEI 1K Pro White shaft I won.

I’m familiar with MCA but have never had the chance to play any of their shafts but knew they made incredible products. The first move I made the day Pete messaged me was contacting my man Chris at my Club Champion in Charlotte NC.

One of the first that stuck out to me was the firm butt section. The shaft felt so stable in my hands and I loved the overall responsiveness throughout. You can certainly tell this is, as MCA states, a super premium shaft and the Xlink Tech makes for a strong profile. This shaft matches everything it’s billed to be and more.

So now for the details on what I went with. My swing speed is 100-106 so I chose the 60X, which is 65g and plays 45.25” swing weighted to D4-5. My normal gamer shaft is the Hazardous Smoke Black 6.0 60 and in comparison, the initial ball flight from the 1K is a little higher than my Smoke but sacrificed no overall distance.

I even gained 2-5 yards of carry from the added height. While getting the TENSEI dialed in my numbers were so consistent and coming out of the same window with very tight dispersion. You have to love tightening that pattern for some extra confidence off the tee.

I currently play the TaylorMade Sim head but for curiosity while at Club Champion I had Chris setup the Callaway Rogue ST Max LS and uh, umm, well, let’s just say I’m gathering funds to get that set up! An instant distance gaining combo with the Rogue ST Max LS and TENSEI 1K! My normal carry went from 260-265 up to 270-275.

If you have a chance to test this shaft, do it. Or if you’re going for a driver fitting make sure you put the TENSEI 1K at the top of the rotation for possible options. It’s a game changer!

This was a unique and incredible experience. Thank you Pete for trusting us and giving the platform to give our thoughts on these amazing gifts.

Thanks for the great review Daniel.  Love hearing you're hitting driver even better with your new Mitsubishi TENSEI 1K Pro White shaft.  And by the way?  I also have one in my Callaway Rogue ST Max driver.

Every time I post one of your guest reviews it makes me smile ear to ear, like I am right now as a matter of fact.  You guys know I love sharing everything golf I do as much as I can as often as I can.  And when one of you wins something and enjoys it as much as Daniel is enjoying his new shaft that's just as good as it gets.

We'll continue guest reviews all year long.  And if any of you want to write a guest review about something you've won from me it's as easy as shooting me an email or DM.  Here's to better golf for us all and always having more fun!

Cheers everyone!
