The search is on to replace Keegan Bradley as the next United States Ryder Cup captain after Europe became the first team since 2012 to win away from home.
Tiger Woods has been installed as the early +125 favorite to replace Bradley.
Here, we look at some of the candidates for the role and the latest USA Ryder Cup captain odds from Gambling.com.
USA Ryder Cup Captain Odds: Tiger Woods
Woods was offered the opportunity to lead the USA in New York, but turned it down because of his new PGA Tour commitments.
However, the 15-time major winner is open to leading the team at some point.
USA Ryder Cup Captain Odds: Brandt Snedeker
Brandt Snedeker was part of the USA team that capitulated in spectacular fashion at Medinah in 2012, but made amends by winning all three of his matches in an emphatic victory at Hazeltine four years later.
The 44-year-old from Nashville was a vice-captain at the 2024 Presidents Cup and Bethpage Black, so he has already got a taste for acting as part of a leadership team.
Snedeker is +200 second favorite in the next USA Ryder Cup captain odds.
USA Ryder Cup Captain Odds: Steve Stricker
Europe’s decision to keep faith with Luke Donald paid dividends, so it’s possible the PGA of America may bring back Steve Stricker, who led the team to a record 19-9 victory at Whistling Straits in 2021.
The 21-man committee that decides who should lead the country in the Ryder Cup may think the time may be right to bring back Stricker, who is +250 for the captaincy.
USA Ryder Cup Captain Odds: Jim Furyk
Jim Furyk led the USA in Paris where Europe won by seven points, but he was part of the winning teams in 2016 and 2021 when he acted as vice-captain.
Having been part of the last 14 Ryder Cups, Furyk’s experience would be invaluable at Adare Manor and he is +400 to be appointed captain.
USA Ryder Cup Captain Odds: Stewart Cink
Cink is available at +500, just ahead of Matt Kuchar, who ended a run of three successive defeats as a Ryder Cup player with victory at Hazeltine.
Two years later, he was one of Furyk’s assistant in France, but is +600 to land the top job.
