Odyssey Announces Limited Edition Damascus Milled Putters: Seven DB and Seven CH

See it.  Hear it.  Feel it.  Want it.  That probably best sums up the new limited edition Odyssey Damascus Milled putter drop.  Damascus Milled are the most premium putters in the Odyssey lineup.  Built to turn heads.  Tuned to sound right.  And crafted to feel perfect.

Damascus Milled will be available in limited quantities in Seven DB and Seven CH models (two of Odyssey's most popular models in history).  And each Damascus Milled putter will have its own unique appearance.

The Damascus Milled Insert

The Damascus Milled design process begins with 61 sheets of two different types of steel stacked into a box and then forged, pressed, and rolled at very high temperatures until it becomes upwards of two football fields in length.

From here the steel is cut and twisted to create the visual layer pattern on the face.  And because where the cuts are made dictate what patters the faces have, no two inserts are exactly the same in appearance.

Tour Feedback on Feel and Sound

Tour feedback was instrumental in the design of the Damascus Milled putters.  And two aspects resonated with players.  Players wanted milled putters that sound and feel firm and responsive.  So Odyssey used multiple alloys (a softer steel and a firmer steel) along with specialized heat treatment to achieve the desired sound and feel characteristics.  The Damascus Milled face also uses Ai topology on the back of the face to improve ball speed across the entire face so the premium aesthetics are entirely performance driven.

Odyssey says there is not a single thing they would have done differently with Damascus Milled.  And the result is a putter that seamlessly blends heritage craftsmanship with modern innovation, while offering performance, sound, and feel that discerning golfers trust and love completely.

Damascus Milled Seven DB and CH Putters

The Seven DB is one of Odyssey's classic shapes and this double bend version provides a face balanced putter with 3/4 shaft of offset that is generally preferred by players with a minimal arc.

The Seven CH is another classic Odyssey shape and this crank hosel version results in moderate toe hang with a full shaft of offset generally preferred by players with a moderate arc.  Xander Schauffele and Sam Burns both play Seven models and are widely regarded as two of the PGA Tour's most elite putters.

Distinct in Every Direction

The Damascus Milled putters have sole weights with beveled edges modeled after luxury watches.  Sole plates are Damascus aluminum using two types of aluminum and made into the same Damascus pattern in the same process at the same facility as the insert.  So no two sole plates will look the same.

Each head in this line is 100-percent milled delivering exceptional precision, refined lines, and exacting craftsmanship.  And the high-end blasted silver finish complements the Damascus insert and sole plates giving these putters a timeless, understated elegance that stands apart.

New Tour Pistol Grip and Exclusive Headcover

Developed in collaboration with Golf Pride and shaped through Tour player feedback Damascus Milled features a new Tour Pistol grip with meticulously crafted edges and a velvety feel.  Odyssey solicited feedback from all of the global Tours in designing the shape, creating the feel, and introducing a wider paddle on the front.  And the 2-Panel, Quilted headcovers with Sherpa lining are crafted with purpose and collectible appeal to harmonize with putter aesthetics.

  1. I already work three jobs. Sure would love this one. But it's not in the budget. Thanks for the interesting description, Pete. And making me drool over a putter.
