Three-Time U.S. Ryder Cup Team Member is Captain Keegan Bradley’s First Appointment

United States Ryder Cup Captain Keegan Bradley today named Webb Simpson as one of his Vice Captains for the 45th Ryder Cup, which will be played September 26-28, 2025, at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York.

Simpson is the first Vice Captain to be appointed by Bradley, who was named Captain of the U.S. Team on July 8. Additional Vice Captains will be announced at a later date.

Topgolf Names Erin Chamberlin as Chief Operating Officer

Modern golf entertainment leader Topgolf has announced that Erin Chamberlin has been named its new Chief Operating Officer beginning July 22. USGA Announces Tee Times for 76th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship from Oakland Hills Country Club

The United States Golf Association (USGA) has announced tee times for the first two rounds of the 76th U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, Monday (July 22) and Tuesday (July 23), at 7,303-yard, par-70 Oakland Hills Country Club’s South Course and at 6,808-yard, par-70 Oakland Hills Country Club’s North Course, in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

The U.S. Junior Amateur consists of 36 holes of stroke play on July 22 and 23, after which the 264-player field will be reduced to the low 64 scorers. There will be six rounds of match play, starting July 24. The quarterfinals and semifinals are slated for Friday, July 26. The championship is scheduled to conclude with a 36-hole final on Saturday, July 27, starting at 8 a.m. EDT. The U.S. Junior Amateur champion receives a full exemption into the 2025 U.S. Open Championship.

How can you not be romantic about The Open Championship?  The champions and personalities who've won the Claret Jug.  The history behind The Open as the oldest golf tournament in the world.  And this year a return to Royal Troon for the first time since 2016.

One of the great things about being credentialed for major championships is I get to share things with all of you that you might not otherwise get to see or learn about.  And like I have each of the last four Open Championships, I've got the official players yardage and green books from the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon.  Yup, the exact same yardage and green books players will be using this week to share with all of you.

NBC Sports Presents 152nd OPEN Championship at Royal Troon Across NBC Peacock and USA Network

NBC Sports surrounds the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon Golf Club in Troon, Scotland, with comprehensive live coverage July 18-21 across NBC, Peacock and USA Network.

OPEN Championship to Air Live on SiriusXM

SiriusXM will offer listeners nationwide a live broadcast of The 152nd Open when golf’s original championship is played July 18-21 at Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland.

Fields Announced for 2024 Olympic Golf in Paris

The International Golf Federation (IGF) has announced the fields for the men’s and women’s Olympic golf competitions at Paris 2024. The men’s Olympic golf competition will take place 1-4 August, while the women will compete 7-10 August. The Olympic golf competitions will be contested at Le Golf National, which annually hosts the FedEx Open de France on the DP World Tour and was the site of the 2018 Ryder Cup. 

Once the Olympic Golf Rankings were finalized on 18 June and 25 June for the men’s and women’s Olympic golf competitions, respectively, each National Olympic Committee (NOC) then began the process of confirming their qualifiers for the competitions by 27 June (5 p.m. US Eastern Time). Past this deadline, all unused quota places were then reallocated as per the Qualification System for golf.

Dye Designs Group Completes Bunker Renovation Project at The Club at Inverness

Dye Designs Group (DDG) – proud contributor to the Dye family’s golf course architecture legacy for more than 30 years – has completed a significant renovation of all fairway and greenside bunkers at The Club at Inverness in Englewood, Colorado.

Titleist introduces the new Golf Ball Fitting App, a comprehensive and efficient way for golfers to find the best Titleist golf ball model for their game. The Trackman-compatible app combines individual golfer information with launch monitor data from 12 representative shots with a half-wedge, full-swing pitching wedge, 7-iron and driver with a Titleist Pro V1 golf ball (or a Pro V1 RCT golf ball for limited flight fittings). The result of each shot is fed into a proprietary algorithm developed by data gathered from thousands of Titleist golf ball fittings – ranging from those of Tour players and club professionals to dedicated amateurs – to deliver a Titleist golf ball recommendation.

French Lick Resort to Open New Short Course in Early Fall 2024

French Lick Resort’s championship Pete Dye and Donald Ross courses and 9-hole Valley Links are about to have company with a fourth course set to open at the resort soon.

The Sand Creek Course at French Lick Resort is set to debut in early fall 2024, providing guests a completely new way to enjoy the game. Chambers Bay to host 2028 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball

Chambers Bay, in University Place, Wash., has been selected by the USGA as the host site for the 2028 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship. This will be the seventh USGA championship awarded to the public golf course in its 17-year history. Chambers Bay is owned by Pierce County and managed by KemperSports. The dates of the event are May 20-24.

The club has previously hosted four USGA championships – the 2010 U.S. Amateur won by Peter Uihlein, the 2015 U.S. Open won by Jordan Spieth, the 2021 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball won by Florida teenagers Kiko Francisco Coelho and Leopoldo Herrera III and the 2022 U.S. Women’s Amateur won by Saki Baba. Chambers Bay will also host the 2027 U.S. Junior Amateur and the 2033 U.S. Amateur.
