Today, adidas announced the posthumous signing of former PGA Tour player Forrest Fezler – whose unique place in the history of the sport makes him the perfect ambassador of style in golf.
In June 1983, during the U.S. Open, Fezler made history when he stepped into a portable restroom on the 72nd hole wearing pants and emerged in shorts. The spontaneous act, subtle yet defiant, marking the unprecedented instance of a player competing in an official PGA Tour event while wearing shorts, cementing Fezler’s status as a legend in breaking the traditional norms of on-course golf style.
