Mitsubishi Golf Shafts Wins TOUR Championship and Scandinavian Invitation

Mitsubishi Golf shafts won the TOUR Championship on Sunday for a clean sweep in the FedExCup Playoffs.  And over in Europe Mitsubishi won the Scandinavian Invitation for it's second straight win on the European Tour.

FedExCup Playoffs champion Rory McIlroy used a Tensei CK 70 shaft in his driver, a Tensei CK 80 in his 3-wood, and a Tensei CK 90 in his 5-wood and cruised to a four-shot victory at East Lake Golf Club.  While Erik van Rooyen won his maiden European Tour title at the Scandinavian Invitational playing a Mitsubishi Diamana DF 70X in his driver.

McIlroy played stellar golf, particularly off the tee hitting 78-percent of the fairways and averaging more than 303-yards off the tee on the weekend (including 28 bombs longer than 320 yards).  McIlroy began the final round one shot off the lead, but cruised to a 4-under, 66 for his second FedExCup Playoffs victory (joining Tiger Woods as the only other player to accomplish that).

Van Rooyen averaged over 296-yards off the tee at the Hills Golf and Sports Club over the weekend, and hit an incredible 85-percent of the fairways holding off runner-up Matthew Fitzpatrick by one stroke.

Mitsubishi won the driver shaft count in Sweden, and together with Aldila Golf had 85 driver shafts in play (good for 54-percent of the field).
