Cole Haan ZEROGRAND Overtake Spikeless Golf Shoes Review - Comfort Style and Versatility Galore

Three new styles from Cole Haan drop today including the ZEROGRAND Overtake spikeless golf shoes.

And ZEROGRAND Overtake feature a host of appealing features that will make them the Cole Haan golf shoes of choice for many.

Make no mistake about it, ZEROGRAND Overtake are about comfort above all else.  The insole cushion is extremely soft and molds to your feet for a locked in sensation.  You can actually feel your feet sink into the footbed in a way that's completely unique to your foot shape.

 

As soft as the cushion is it's also luxuriously thick, which leads to absolutely phenomenal arch support.  It's like the balls of your feet and heels sink into the cushion more in those areas so the cushion under the arch of your feet rises up.

Without being designed specifically for arch support, ZEROGRAND Overtake do a fantastic job and the overall comfort is truly exceptional.  I'm talking the kind of comfort where you walk 18 holes and never want to take them off.

 

Breathability is outstanding with ZEROGRAND Overtake.  Made from a very light and very stretchable mesh upper, these have a bootie like (stretch) fit that wraps snugly around entire foot.  And yet there's also solid mid-foot security and stability for a lightweight mesh golf shoe.  Heel tabs for easy on and off are a nice touch.

 

The spikeless outsole features a combination of strategically placed nobs (pods) and vertical traction ridges that provide surprisingly effective grip in dry to damp conditions.  You don't get the same grab as spiked shoes, but I felt plenty of control and support on all swings tee to green. 

  

Thanks to a membrane that lays over the mesh upper, ZEROGRAND Overtake are water resistant, so you'll be okay in a light mist of rain or leaving footprints in the morning dew.  These are not waterproof, but if that's not a concern you're going to be impressed in just about every other way.

 

ZEROGRAND Overtake are a lightweight and marvelously comfortable pair of golf shoes ideal for those warmer days ahead.  It's a pure joy to walk the course in these.
