COBRA PUMA Golf athlete Angel Hidalgo captured his maiden DP World Tour win at The Acciona Open De Espana.
Hidalgo went wire-to-wire to capture the victory, with a birdie on the 2nd hole playoff to overcome Jon Rahm.
Rounds of 65, 67 and 68 gave Hidalgo a 2 shot lead heading into the final round, where he carded a -1 70, to join Rahm in a sudden death playoff, where he made 2 birdies, to finally land his win, and in turn catapult himself up to 18th on the Race to Dubai.
“We’re absolutely thrilled for Angel securing his win, and to do so at his national open makes it even sweeter," said Joe Folker, Senior Sports Marketing Manager Golf - Europe. “This is the first year we have worked with Angel, and he was someone we identified as being a perfect match for our brands, and we’re extremely proud he puts his trust in us to support him with his equipment, apparel, and footwear- and we’re excited to continue to work with him for many years to come.”
