At PWPIPasatiempo one of the livestream viewers (Jacob, @SchwandtyPippen on X) won a new Callaway Quantum Triple Diamond Max driver just like the players were using at Pasatiempo.
Jacob has had it in play for a while now and here's his review.
Callaway Golf Quantum TD Max Review
After spending some time with the new Quantum TD Max, here are my initial impressions.
Looks: 9.5/10
The Quantum TD Max has a clean, confidence-inspiring look at address. I completely understand the tour-inspired decision to eliminate the alignment aid, although I personally prefer having a subtle alignment line. Fortunately, that’s an easy adjustment with a small aftermarket decal if desired.
Performance: 9.8/10
The Quantum TD Max is unquestionably a low-spin driver, but what stood out the most was how much ball speed it retained across the face.

Even with approximately 2 mph less clubhead speed, the Quantum TD Max averaged 2 mph more ball speed, 4 additional yards of carry, and improved my right-to-left dispersion by roughly 15 yards.
While the Quantum TD Max is definitely lower spinning than my Qi4D—which occasionally produced a few “knuckleball” shots—it remained remarkably forgiving for a true low-spin head. Toe and heel strikes retained impressive ball speed and carry, something that immediately stood out during testing.
It’s also important to note that every shot in this test was hit using TaylorMade range balls. Based on these results, I’d expect even better overall performance with a premium golf ball.
Feel: 9.8/10
This is where the Quantum TD Max truly separates itself.
The new Tri-Force Face delivers one of the best-feeling impacts I’ve experienced in a modern driver. Compared to the Elyte TD I played last season, the improvement is immediately noticeable. The face feels incredibly responsive—almost as if there’s a springboard behind it—while still providing exceptional feedback.
This may be a hot take, but the feel reminds me of the perfect combination of a Titleist and TaylorMade driver. It has enough firmness to precisely identify strike location without ever feeling harsh.
For players swinging 114+ mph, that level of feedback is invaluable. I also noticed significantly improved spin retention on toe strikes, allowing those mishits to stay in the air instead of falling out of the sky.
Overall: 9.7/10
Callaway has built one of the most complete low-spin drivers I’ve tested. The Quantum TD Max combines elite ball speed, outstanding forgiveness, exceptional feel, and tighter dispersion without giving up the workability better players expect.
Perhaps the most impressive takeaway from my testing was that it produced more ball speed and more carry distance despite lower average clubhead speed—a testament to just how efficient the head is.
If you’re looking for a low-spin driver that offers tour-level performance while maintaining forgiveness on off-center strikes, the Quantum TD Max absolutely deserves a spot on your demo list. It has officially earned a place in my bag.
