Robert Trent Jones Society Announces Gary Player as Recipient of Annual Legacy Award

The Robert Trent Jones Society has announced that professional golfer Gary Player is the recipient of the fourth annual Legacy Award, in recognition of his lifetime contributions to the game of golf. Previous recipients of the award include Al Geiberger, Lee Trevino, and Hollis Stacy.

Player is recognized as golf’s premier international ambassador, having won golf’s Grand Slam with his U.S. Open win in 1965 at Bellerive in St. Louis, an RTJ Sr. original design and Society member. Player has more than 160 wins over seven decades and is also a highly successful golf course architect. He single-handedly ushered in an ethos of fitness to professional golf and has raised tens of millions of dollars for his charities, most notably cancer research and education for underprivileged youth.

USGA and Scioto Country Club Launch Championship Logo to Kick Off 2026 U.S. Senior Open

The United States Golf Association (USGA), in partnership with Scioto Country Club, in Columbus, Ohio, is proud to unveil the official logo for the 46th U.S. Senior Open Championship. This marks the third time this revered championship returns to Scioto Country Club. The 2026 U.S. Senior Open will be played the week of June 29 - July 5, 2026, continuing the legacy of the most coveted championship in senior golf.

Bob Jones and Jack Nicklaus, two legends of the game, are tied to Scioto Country Club. Jones won the U.S. Open, one of his nine USGA championships, at the club in 1926, while Nicklaus honed his game there with teaching professional Jack Grout. Dale Douglass claimed the 1986 Senior Open at Scioto in his first year of eligibility, while Gene Sauers posted a one-stroke victory over Billy Mayfair and Miguel Angel Jiménez in 2016 during the club’s centennial year. Bruce Fleisher edged Vinny Giles by one shot in the 1968 U.S. Amateur when it was a 72-hole, stroke-play championship.

TPC Craig Ranch Extends Partnership with PGA Tour

Titleist Introduces AVX and Tour Soft AIM 360 Golf Balls

Titleist introducesAVX and Tour Soft AIM 360 golf balls, featuring a new 360-degree marking designed to improve precision and accuracy in alignment. The new AIM 360 design is the latest addition to Titleist’s lineup of Alignment Integrated Marking (AIM) products, which also includes Pro V1, Pro V1x and Pro V1x Left Dash Performance Alignment and Enhanced Alignment golf balls.

Graphite Design Wins US Women’s Open

Pro’s Choice Golf Shafts, Inc. announced today that the winner of the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally, held at Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, Wisconsin was playing a Graphite Design Tour AD XC-6 Stiff flex wood shaft in her Ping G430 MAX 15° fairway metal wood. 

The champion won her second LPGA tournament and first Major championship after shooting a four-day score of 7 under par.
