Titleist Introduces AVX and Tour Soft AIM 360 Golf Balls

Titleist introducesAVX and Tour Soft AIM 360 golf balls, featuring a new 360-degree marking designed to improve precision and accuracy in alignment. The new AIM 360 design is the latest addition to Titleist’s lineup of Alignment Integrated Marking (AIM) products, which also includes Pro V1, Pro V1x and Pro V1x Left Dash Performance Alignment and Enhanced Alignment golf balls.

 

“Player feedback is at the core of everything we do in product development,” said Frederick Waddell, Titleist’s Director of Golf Ball Product Management. “We saw a growing interest in various alignment aids and cues printed directly on the golf ball from the dedicated golfer. Our AIM lineup consists of three unique performance-oriented designs, all geared to help golfers set up and then start their golf ball on its intended line.”

Black Desert Resort’s Tom Weiskopf and Phil Smith-designed golf course has been named  to Golf Digest’s newly posted “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses” ranking and to Golfweek’s just released “Top 100 Best Courses You Can Play in the U.S.” ranking. Black Desert is number 35 on Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses and number 34 on Golfweek’s prestigious “Top 100 Best Courses You Can Play in the U.S.” ranking.

Golfweek raters also ranked Black Desert the number one golf course in Utah in their “Best Courses You Can Play,” state-by-state rankings, while placing Black Desert number 96 on the publication’s “Top 200 Modern Courses” list. Maja Stark Claims 80th U.S. Women’s Open

Playing with the patience and precision reminiscent of another champion from Sweden, Maja Stark won the 80th U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally on Sunday when she mastered the demands of Erin Hills and the challenge of the No. 1 player in the world close behind. The 25-year-old closed with an even-par 72 for a 7-under-par total of 281, and a two-stroke margin of victory over Nelly Korda and Rio Takeda from Japan.

Mao Saigo, Hyejin Choi and Ruoning Yin were at 284 with qualifier Hailee Cooper and Hinako Shibuno at 285. Angel Yin, Linn Grant and 2018 U.S. Women’s Open champion Ariya Jutanugarn finished five back at 286.

Golf Channel to Present More than 10 Hours of Live Coverage of Final Qualifying for 2025 US Open on Golf’s Longest Day

GOLF Channel will surround “Golf’s Longest Day” Presented by Titleist with 10 hours of live coverage on Monday, June 2, as golfers compete at 10 sites across the United States and Canada in the hopes of qualifying for the upcoming 125th U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club June 12-15.

The long march to the winner’s circle at the 80th U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally began Thursday with a logjam atop the leader board at Erin Hills as Rio Takeda, Yealimi Noh, Jinhee Im, Angel Yin, Julia Lopez Ramirez and 2020 champion A Lim Kim opened with rounds of 4-under-par 68.

The challenges of Erin Hills lurked quietly behind the gently rolling terrain, especially in the demanding collection areas surrounding the brilliant green complexes. USGA Announces Tee Times for 80th U.S. Women’s Open Championship Presented by Ally

The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced tee times for the first two rounds of the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open Championship Presented by Ally, Thursday (May 29) and Friday (May 30), at 6,829-yard, par-72 Erin Hills.

The U.S. Women’s Open is a 72-hole, stroke-play competition. A field of 156 players will play 18 holes of stroke play on May 29 and 30, after which the field will be reduced to the low 60 scores and ties. Those players making the cut will play 18 holes on May 31 and June 1. If there is a tie upon the completion of 72 holes, a two-hole aggregate playoff will immediately follow.

Former USGA Executive Director David Faye Recipient of 2025 ASGCA Donald Ross Award

Few people have done more to showcase public golf than David Fay. During his 21-year tenure as the executive director of the USGA, David Fay changed the landscape of the U.S. Open by bringing the national championship to public courses around the country and showcasing the game’s accessibility and popularity as a game for all to enjoy.

His contributions make him a worthy recipient of the 2025 ASGCA Donald Ross Award. The organization’s highest honor recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to the game of golf and the profession of golf course architecture.
