Tour Edge Golf in the Bag for 17th Win on Champions Tour with Red Hot Player

The Country Club, USGA Announce 122nd U.S. Open Lee Elder Internship Class

With a focus on advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in golf, The Country Club and the United States Golf Association have selected 25 college and graduate students from 22 universities for the Lee Elder Internship, a dedicated, hands-on career training program that will run throughout the week of the 122nd U.S. Open Championship in June.

The international cohort includes 15 individuals who identify as female and 10 as male, with more than half having minimal exposure to golf. With students from the United States, Argentina, the Republic of Korea and Nigeria, the internship reflects what the U.S. Open represents in golf – the most diverse and democratic major championship, open to all.

Atlanta Athletic Club to Host Three USGA Amateur Championships

The United States Golf Association announced on Tuesday that the Atlanta Athletic Club, in Johns Creek, Ga., will be the host site for the 2025 U.S. Girls’ Junior, 2030 U.S. Amateur and 2035 U.S. Women’s Amateur championships. The club has previously hosted six USGA championships.

“We are thrilled to return to Atlanta Athletic Club to conduct these three USGA championships,” said Mark Hill, USGA senior managing director, Championships. “The USGA is looking forward to continuing our strong relationship with this famed club, which has been home to so many memorable USGA championships and legendary champions.”

USGA, The Country Club and the Town of Brookline Collaborate to Deliver Sustainable U.S. Open Championship

Golf fans, players, vendors, volunteers and others from Massachusetts and around the world will take part in delivering the most sustainable U.S. Open Championship on-site experience to date, thanks to a collaborative effort among the United States Golf Association, the Town of Brookline and The Country Club.

In line with the UN’s Sports for Climate Action framework, the sustainability plan for the 122nd U.S. Open will significantly reduce the championship’s carbon footprint and reinvest dollars in the Town’s proactive environmental programs, leaving a lasting legacy well beyond this year’s event.

Mitsubishi Golf Pulls Double Duty for Victory at Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele picked up their first wins of the season at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.  And Mitsubishi Golf pulled double duty helping the Ryder Cup duo go wire-to-wire in record setting fashion.

Cantlay and Schauffele opened up play with a 59, finished with a tournament record 29-under, and both played Mitsubishi Golf shafts in their drivers and fairway woods.

Georgia Residents Huynh, Im Win 7th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship

Georgia residents Thienna Huynh and Sara Im outlasted Kaitlyn Schroeder and Bailey Shoemaker, 1 up, on Sunday at Grand Reserve Golf Club in Puerto Rico to win the 7th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship.

Huynh, 18, of Lilburn, and Im, 17, of Duluth, become the second and third players from the Peach State to win this championship, joining Rinko Mitsunaga (Roswell) who won at Bandon Dunes in 2015 with Mika Liu in the event’s inaugural year. Huynh, a graduating high school senior who plans to enroll at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in the fall, also becomes the event’s second left-handed winner after Erica Shepherd in 2019.

Two Sides Share Medalist Honors at 10 Under in Women's Amateur Four Ball Championship

Medals were handed out to a pair of sides late Thursday afternoon at Grand Reserve Golf Club for topping the 64-team field in the stroke-play portion of the 7th U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship – but all four players know that much more is on the line starting on Friday.

“Being a medalist just proves to us that we really have a chance of winning,” said Leigh Chien, 16, who partnered with Anna Huang, 13. “It gives us a lot of confidence going into match play.”

Club Champion Driver Fitting Review - PGAPappas Go Deep with Club Champion Giveaway Guest Review

USGA and Pebble Beach Company Announce Landmark Partnership

Building upon a nearly century-long relationship, the United States Golf Association and Pebble Beach have forged a landmark partnership that seeks to benefit the game of golf for generations to come.

As part of today’s announcement, Pebble Beach will now host four future U.S. Opens (2027, 2032, 2037 and 2044) as well as four future U.S. Women’s Opens Presented by ProMedica, including its first one next year (2023, 2035, 2040 and 2048). These additional championships fulfill a common goal to ensure that both men and women have the opportunity to compete at the highest level on this iconic course. In addition, for the first time ever, the U.S. Senior Open and U.S. Senior Women’s Open will be staged back-to-back at the same location in 2030, with the resort’s Spyglass Hill Golf Course serving as the host site.
