The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced qualifying sites for the 45th U.S. Senior Open Championship, to be held at The Broadmoor’s East Course, in Colorado Springs, Colo., from June 26-29. The Broadmoor is hosting its third Senior Open and ninth USGA championship.
For the first time since its inception in 1980, the U.S. Senior Open will feature a qualifying framework that is comparable to the U.S. Open with two stages that includes local and final sites. The USGA has established 27 exemption categories from local and final qualifying, including 5-year exemptions for the major champions of the Senior PGA Championship, Senior Open Championship, Kaulig Companies Championship and Regions Tradition. Winners of the U.S. Senior Open, from 2014-24, are also exempt.
