Ping G440 LST Driver vs. Ping G440 K Driver Review

This comparative review is probably going to make you say wow a few times.  I was certainly surprised at some of the things I found taking these two drivers head to head.  In the one corner you have the low spin bomber Ping G440 LST.  In the other corner you have the high MOI fairway splitter Ping G440 K.

For example there were times G440 LST was more forgiving than the G440 K.  And there were other times when G440 K was longer than G440 LST.  However by the time you're done reading this review I think you'll find each driver has its own strengths that clearly delivers specific performance you want for your particular driver game and swing.

You asked for it.  And here it is.  The new Cobra 3DP MB irons vs. the new Titleist T100 irons.  A head-to-head bottom line review comparing performance (and appearance and feel) in five categories I've highlighted below.  All numbers were recorded from Trackman, the same Pro V1x ball was used during testing, and both 3DP MB and T100 irons had SteelFiber i95 shafts installed.

There are some comparative performance aspects that probably won't surprise you, others that definitely will.  And in my opinion one really big difference at the end that's not necessarily a shocker as much as it is how much of a shocker.

If you played or hit the Callaway Elyte Triple Diamond or Elyte Triple Diamond Max the last few years you know what a difficult decision it was to choose one over the other as your favorite.  Each has its own specific skill set so to speak and if you follow me on X and Instagram you saw I played both drivers throughout the year.  So I was expecting some of the same similarities and differences with the new 2026 Quantum Triple Diamond and Quantum Triple Diamond Max drivers.

What I didn't expect however was for Quantum TD and TD Max to have even more specialized dynamics that make them not only better performing than the respective Elyte drivers in an absolute sense but also better performing (and more distinguishable) versions of themselves.  On the one hand that makes choosing a favorite between Quantum TD and TD Max easier.  On the other hand their more specific differences makes me want to play them both even more this yer than I did the Elyte models last year.

USGA Announces Qualifying Sites for 126th U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club

Local and final qualifying sites for the 126th U.S. Open Championship at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, in Southampton, N.Y., have been announced by the USGA. The championship proper will be contested from June 18-21.

Local qualifying, conducted over 18 holes at 110 sites in 46 U.S. states, Canada and Mexico, will take place between April 20-May 18. Those advancing players will join a group of locally exempt competitors in final qualifying, which will be conducted over 36 holes at 13 sites. Final qualifying will be held in England (May 18), Japan (May 25) and Canada (June 8) as well as 10 U.S. sites, one on May 18 and the remaining nine on June 8, known across the industry as “Golf’s Longest Day,” which will receive ten hours of coverage on Golf Channel.
