Nippon Golf Shafts Win WGC Dell Technologies Match Play for Second PGA Tour Victory in a Row

Nippon Shaft won its second consecutive PGA Tour event on Sunday when 35-year-old Kevin Kisner won the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play with a 3 and 2 victory over Matt Kuchar (the current No. 1 player in the FedExCup standings).

It was Kisner's third and most prestigious Tour victory, and he put on a ball striking clinic with his irons and in the short game.  Kisner trusted Nippon Shaft N.S. PRO MODUS 3 Tour 120 TX flex steel shafts in his irons and N.S. PRO MODUS 3 Wedge 125 steel shafts in his wedges.

I'm currently playing MODUS 3 Tour 105 S flex in my Bridgestone XW-1 wedges, and the bend profile is very similar to the 125 Kisner plays.  I feel like my 105 play softer than the stated S flex, but they also give me a smooth shaft load and solid feel at impact.  Sometime this season I'll probably play the MODUS 3 in a set of irons as well.

Kisner finished 6-1-0 in his seven matches, earned a winner's check of $1.745 million, improved his Official World Golf Ranking to No. 25 (from No. 50), and is now 13th in the FedExCup Playoffs standings going into next week's Masters.

The MODUS 3 shaft series now has eight worldwide professional victories in the 2018-19 season, and a total of 162 since its introduction in 2012.  Approximately 150 players on the PGA Tour, European Tour, and Web.com Tour use Nippon Shaft's MODUS series steel shafts to help gain their desired distance, accuracy, and trajectory.

Nippon Shaft Marketing and Sales Manager, Hiro Fukuda said,
"Nippon Shaft is honored that the winner of the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play has chosen our products to help him on his journey to the upper echelons of the golf world.  We wish him the best at Augusta."
