Things started to get a little more serious Tuesday at Torrey Pines, as players began intensifying preparation for the 121st U.S. Open Championship.
Tuesday was the biggest interview day, and stars like Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, and defending champion Bryson DeChambeau all had interesting things to say about this championship and how they will attack the course.
Some chose to play full practice rounds, others spent most of their time around and on the greens, and still others were mapping out shot strategies on particular holes. After tonight, there's just one final day to get ready, and then it's game on for the 156 players in the field.
I just asked Brooks Koepka in his #USOpen presser why do we always see him in contention to win at major championships. It’s uncanny.

Here are some of the best photos from Tuesday's practice round at the 2021 U.S. Open Championship, as well as a few highlights of questions I asked players during their press conferences.
Bryson legit one of the best interviews in the game. Just asked DeChambeau in his #USOpen presser how the grind of a major championship is different from rest of season.

Here’s his very articulate, honest, and thoughtful answer. Thanks BAD, and good luck this week! 👍 pic.twitter.com/b4Jbrfwqrz
I just asked Justin Thomas in his #USOpen presser about the thin line between success and failure at US Opens for players as fiery as he is; and if there’s anything he can do so that fire fuels him rather than burns him.

Here’s what he said. Thanks JT and good luck this week. 👍 pic.twitter.com/S9ZCaQLTvZ
