I believe this is a first time guest review for golf balls, and it comes from Dave (@ParMeDown) on twitter. Dave tested the new 2023 Mizuno Golf RB Tour golf balls.
And in Dave's own words these "compare to any ball on the market; had multiple 300-yard drives and accuracy was good as well."
Here's Dave's full review tee to green on the new Mizuno RB Tour golf balls.
Hey Pete, thanks again for sending out the 12 Mizuno RB Tour Balls, scorecard attached with some scribble notes. 😉 Had the chance to get out and try these yesterday, here are some of the details of the day.
I played Spring Valley Golf Club Milpitas Ca., an average course with the greens running a tad slow at about 10 stimp. My putting was off as I hadn't played in 10 days and had a couple 3 jacks.
Mizuno RB Tour Protocol
Dimple Pattern: A bit strange at first look to be honest.
Distance: Compares with any ball on the market had multiple 300-yard drives and accuracy was good as well.
Mid Irons: Very solid. Ball flight was mid to high( typical ), hit five or six 4-irons right around the 200-yard mark and on target.
Low irons: Ball flight is good, the Indian could have been better yesterday for this part of the round.
Short Approach Shots: PW + SW's great feel within 100-yards and some seriously nice spin action even at 50-yards. Was very happy about this.
Putting: As mentioned, ball seemed true and fair, again the Indian had his issues with the flatstick.
As a 3.7 index, I like the overall performance of this ball and look to give it another couple goes. I typically play the Titleist Pro V or Taylor Made TP 5.
Thank you for all you do on Golf Twitterverse and beyond and look forward to playing with you soon. Best of luck always and hit em str8 my man.
Great stuff Dave, thanks for a great review and sounds like the RB Tour did pretty much everything you want your ball to do!
We'll have more guest reviews in the coming weeks. And as always anytime any of you who wins something from me wants to write a review just let me know. Everyone's having a lot of fun and really enjoying your reviews and perspectives. Cheers to a great fall season for us all!
Well done Dave!!
