Fujikura, the leader in performance golf shafts, was honored to be the #1 driver and wood shaft on the PGA Tour. This included a victory for the tournament winner, who used all VENTUS shafts in his driver and woods.
At the FedEx St. Jude Classic in Tennessee, Fujikura sealed the #1 driver and wood shaft spot with a back-to-back victory for the eventual PGA Tour winner. In total, over 37.1% of the field used a Fujikura driver shaft during the week, with another 35.0% in the wood shaft count.
These statistics also included the winner at TPC Southwind, who used a combination of VENTUS shafts in his driver and woods. The PGA Tour winner in Memphis used the VENTUS Blue 7-X in his driver, along with the VENTUS Black 8-X in his 3-wood and VENTUS Black 10-X in his 5-wood.
Fujikura also claimed the #1 driver and wood shaft spot on the LPGA Tour, at the Women’s British Open. Fujikura led the field with 33.8% of players using a Fujikura driver shaft, along with another 26.0% using a Fujikura wood shaft.
This included the winner of the Major event, who used the VENTUS TR Blue 5-S in her driver, VENTUS TR Blue 6-S in her 3-wood and VENTUS TR Blue 7-S in her 5-wood. This was the 2nd Major victory of the season for this player, who used all Fujikura shafts during both Major championship titles this year.
