Here's another great guest review from a winner in my recent PGAPappas Adidas Golf Giveaway. This one comes from Ty (@over7par on X) on his new Adidas Tour360 24 Golf Shoes.
Ty owns a lot of golf shoes so he's a bit of an expert by his own admission. And he says the Tour360 24 might be "the best golf shoes he's ever worn."
In how own words, here's Ty's review of his new Adidas Tour360 24 golf shoes.
I was fortunate enough to win Pete’s Adidas Tour360 24 giveaway and enjoy being one of Pete's guest “reviewers”. I have extensive experience in owning plenty of pairs, so if anyone’s qualified, I might just be. I just counted and I have 36 pairs. 36. THIRTY-SIX.
So now that we’ve established that I need to stop buying shoes, let’s get to this review of the Adidas Tour360 24 Boost golf shoes. I was ecstatic when I won these, because this was one of the few pairs I hadn’t had a chance to try.
Full disclosure, I’m a Footjoy Premiere and Pro S/L connoisseur, so the majority of my stock comes from those with a couple of random Puma, Ecco, Asics thrown into the mix. I’ve got a pair of the Stan Smith Adidas, but never any like these Tour360s.
These shoes are exquisite. I told Pete these might be the BEST golf shoes I’ve ever worn. It’s hard to explain, but it’s almost like if a golf shoe could hug your feet? There’s elastic bands on each side that when you put your feet in, they literally hug your foot and just make the shoe nice and secure (which is needed because of my only nitpicky complaint I’ll add later).
Coming from a predominantly FJ experience, the Adidas have a wider toe box than normal and just look a little different than what I’m used to. Not bad at all, just different. They’ve got a really nice leather inside the foot and around the ankle that doesn’t stick to your skin and just holds everything in place nicely. I’ve worn some other brand pairs that I honestly can’t anymore, because there’s zero stability when I’m swinging because my feet are sliding in the soles or there’s no ankle support or whatever else.
If there’s one thing I love about these Tour360 24 shoes, it’s the stability. When I told Pete they might be the best ever, it’s because they can do it all—style, comfort, stability, you name it, they can do it. Zero issues with performance on the golf course. My feet stay where I need them.
Comfort? Didn’t even have to break them in. Comfortable right out of the box. On their website, Adidas says “A combination of Adidas Lightstrike cushioning and JET BOOST in the heel complement a Torsion Bridge stabilizer to energize every step and stabilizes every stance for powerful drives.”
I can’t say that this guy has had any “powerful” drives during my rounds wearing them, but I noticed much better ball striking during those days and I will attribute that to how stable and comfortable my feet were during those rounds.
If I had only one thing to harp on, it’s the weight of the shoe. It’s a little heavier than others I’ve worn. That’s the nitpickiest of nitpicks, so take that with a grain of salt. Don’t let that dissuade you from purchasing them though. They’re a little heavier I’d say from the quality of materials used for the shoes. They’re premium materials and it provides a premium experience wearing them. You best believe they’re on my radar for getting another pair or two in different colors.
If I had to decide one style to wear, this one would be in my top-3 to decide between and it’d be hard to not pick it.
As always, I’ll never be able to thank Pete enough for providing these giveaways for us. Even if I never won one, he’s such a fun follow, because you can tell he loves this game just as much as we do. I feel like some guys do this review stuff because it’s just their job or because of the access they get, but not Pete. His appreciation and enthusiasm for the game of golf is infectious and it shows in everything he distributes. Thanks Pete!.
